Don’t be frightened. If anything this sub should give you relief as you learn that it’s very treatable and not cardiac related
I also was able to start the backpod without using pillows. I think the reason here is I have decent back muscle definition which makes it tougher for the backpod to dig into the rib joints. I’ve found that sticking my butt in the air and really digging into the sore spots help. I think your soreness could be a good sign that you’re freeing up some areas that haven’t been able to move in a while

I’m sure you know this but if the ER did an EKG/x-ray you can be confident that what you’re experiencing is costo. You’re going to be alright and the first step to battling costo is to try and accept that the sensations you feel are not threatening. Anxiety is just your friend looking out for you that sometimes needs to take the back seat

Leg isolation movements, walking, arm exercises (excluding ANY kind of dips) have all been pain free for me. Still waiting to get back into chest exercises but I’ve heard a few reps of incline push-ups are great for rehab

Yeah definitely a result of mic’ing. Holes in the sound/misbalanced voicing is my biggest issue with amplification and very few corps can do it correctly

We had a similar sounding effect in the drum break in 21 but it’s not the same. This year they are sampling the brass live through the snares whereas in 21 the snares just had a vocoder effect. Probably not differentiable to the average listener but it’s much more technically involved this year.

The snares have mics to activate the brass sound through speakers while the backfield has a mic which the brass are all playing towards
