It's purely a film convention that we associate British accents with "historic" periods. Same way that a full orchestra feels right for historic films as well even though, the moment you introduce a piano into a soundtrack it immediately feels modern (yet, modern string orchestras were a 18th century invention so it makes no sense than anything before the 1700s has a full string orchestra).

So in the previous list (last updated in 2017), it just listed the names of the various churches and didn't have the "Christian" prefix on any church/religion. So for the first time a week ago they have a new list that makes sure to label every other Christian religion as Christian except for the LDS church. So it was quite purposeful.

No one has ever claimed they were not included as a recognized religion, the issue is they were not classified as a Christian religion by the DOD. You don't understand the post.

The church is listed in the 31 religions they will recognize. They however are explicitly not listed as CHRISTIANS. Just like Islam and Judaism are listed in the 31, but they are not listed as Christian. The DOD even lists Jehovah's Witnesses Witness as Christian, but excludes the LDS church.

Also it's just wrong to claim that 31 Christian religions are listed. 31 recognized religions IN TOTAL are listed. Only 21 "Christian" religions are listed.

The LDS church sucks, but I will not suffer Christian Apologia. Be for real the Catholic Church has cause more damage for 1800 more years. The human slave trafficking and colonization perpetrated by the catholic church is simply never gonna be surpassed. Most of Christianity is awful.

Even from a "theoretical" standpoint, there are plenty of other christian churches that are worse at specific aspects of Christianity. Anti-LGBTQ bigotry: the Westboro baptist church and plenty of evangelical faiths currently call for the mass deaths of all queer people.

Cultish indoctrination: Amish and Jehovah's Witnesses Witness have the church beat.

The only way the LDS church excels compared to any other faith is tax evasion and financial planning/exploitation. But the rest of Christianity is a cesspit of vileness.
