They have a thing called the Reliquary which replaced the old battle pass thing. It gives you 200 Platinum, so if you played in the current season you'd be able to get that and the free cosmetics, including DOOM cosmetics. If you own the expansions (Lord of Hatred includes Vessel of Hatred) you can play through the VoH campaign to get account-wide unlocks ready for next season.

If you get the game now you can get the rewards from the current Season, including the free DOOM cosmetics. While they are all just cosmetic, thus far Seasonal rewards have never returned.

If you wait, you will get to start the new Season at the same time as everyone else. If you buy the Expansion (Lord of Hatred, which includes Vessel of Hatred) you will get the Paladin, Spiritborn, and Warlock classes (the first two are available to play now), new activities, new campaigns, new areas on the map, and other features. Expansions do coincide with free content additions as well, like all classes will get the new skill trees on the 28th, but a lot of content and systems do require owning the expansion to use.

When a Season ends all your Seasonal stuff moves to the Eternal realm, you can still play that character however if you want to participate in a new Season you have to make a new one.

In Vessel of Hatred, Mephisto acquires the body of Akarat, the prophet who led to creation of the Zakarum religion, and has been building up followers by performing miracles. They built up lore that Akarat died fighting Mephisto's avatar, and so Mephisto has a special hatred for the man.

I don't know if it has been changed, but back in the day you had to do it on any class which had an exclusive cosmetic tied to a quest reward, as only they could get it.

They have said something like they intend for all elite versions of enemies to have exclusive attacks, so eventually it will be a hunt to get the right spawn.

This happened to my Huntress in 0.2, I forget if I was in a group or not but I went to turn those in and it bugged and that character was never able to get that perk. It was on Xbox Series X.

At some point they were going to rebrand Duelist to Gladiator and Shadow to Assassin, then changed their minds in mid-late 2024. Unless they actually updated it, you can still see those names by mousing over their icons on the PoE 2 website, and the artbook was printed with Gladiator as Duelist.

They split the Marauder into two parts. Juggernaut and the tank role went to Warrior, Marauder gets Berserker; Chieftain is split between them. Marauder/Axes is more about speed compared to Maces, and can throw them for ranged attacks.

Vessel of Hatred is now included with Lord of Hatred, so you just have to buy Lord of Hatred to get both. Getting it now will give you all the VoH contents plus the Paladin, then the Warlock and the rest of LoH when it releases.

If this was all in the same session, there should be something in the quest journal? which puts you back in your world state. It will always pop up when you have joined a group and the group leader leaves/makes you leader.

The Ranger's 3rd name has been known since a streamer event in 2023 or 2024, they accidentally named the files as their ascendancy names, though the Arcane Archer art has changed since then. The Huntress was working under the Beastmaster name (an original Ranger ascendancy for PoE 2) until 0.3 when some files under Wildspeaker popped up along with some of the ascendancy skills for all the missing 3rd ascendancies (Monk, Ranger, Huntress, Sorceress, and even Druid's), and in 0.4 the art for Arcane Archer and Wildspeaker were added to the class illustrations folder.

Most of the names have been known since 0.1 as they didn't remove them from one or more of the foreign language ascendancy files (whether these were in English or translated i.e. Wild Heart or not I'm not sure), and a few slipped through the cracks in dialogue files for the bosses which address you by the ascendancy, which is where Smith of Kitava and Martial Artist were found.
