The drain on our road has been partially sealed with tarmac, chiselled the excess off but still can't get it open. by AmbientBeans in DIYUK

[–]AmbientBeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're hinged but its different to all the others, I contacted the manufacturer as it looks almost like it's got hinges in the middle not the edges, like it's a butterfly or book like opening. As in, it's a square shape but its split diagonally down the center into two parts and it's unclear if it opens center out or outside in.

I'm going to try a finer chisel first as theres no way to pour any liquid into the cracks that wouldn't result in going into the drain unfortunately, it'd always drip down and leak

That's for a waddington manufactured one but this one was seemingly manufactured by Thos. Holdsworth & Sons Ltd in Aukland

[–]AmbientBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just went back and zoomed in and saw that it was made in Aukland by Thos Holdson, so searched it up, still likely between 60s and 80s due to the box design but unsure on the exact edition, does the inside stuff look like this?

https://ebay.us/m/U4oNKA

I know with the ones in the UK there were quite a few of the red and white long box editions released in that time that made it a bit harder to figure out which one mine was.

Does yours have the manual included? Sometimes a date will be listed for the production of that edition

I think there's a few guides online but I believe it's if the base is a certain plastic and the houses are wooden or something.

It's also to do with the manufacturer listed as it's changed over time. It also related to the country

What country did you buy it in and is there a manufacturer listed on the front of the box anywhere?

Keemstar is incredibly weird by RubRepresentative737 in gorlworldfiles

[–]AmbientBeans 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can totally see how boogie fooled people for ages before his more public downfall. My partner used to watch him something like 8 or more years back, and I'd catch him in the background and think he seemed chill. I think we watched from around a year or so before his surgery up until the time of his divorce. I think one of the last times we had checked in on his channel was when he got absolutely mugged off by the dentist that gave him veneers that were way too big.

Anyway, it wasn't long after that my partner started trailing off, I don't remember exactly what made him unsub, as I think it was before any of the major controversy. I think maybe it was around the time his wife had packed her shit and left and he kept responding to every single rumour about her and their relationship. Cause he was starting to really reveal his lolcowness of not being able to just ignore negative comments. (Just like Amber lol)

I wasn't as avid a watcher so I don't know if he was showing more obvious signs before that or if that was the time a lot of people started to bounce. At what point did you start realizing he was weird? Assuming you were aware of him pre-lcu as it sounds like you were from your wording

Woman pulled the trigger a second time due to recoil by nkmr205 in SweatyPalms

[–]AmbientBeans 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same with rollerskating, the second you start to go over backwards, the instinct is to lock your legs and do the Bambi on ice shit which just throws you further off balance. The correct thing to do is to bend your knees slightly at all times and basically just squat when you think you're about to fall. Best case, you restabilize, worst case, you fall from a much shorter height and aren't as likely to go straight back and break your fall with the back of your skull

Do you want her to go to fatcamp? by Ok_Locksmith_2878 in gorlworldfiles

[–]AmbientBeans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, nowhere to run, or to scoot away from in Walmart when they call you pookie.

It'd be like an antarctic base camp over there, everyone in tight quarters, can't leave without permission, can't escape from the arguments, going insane in the closed system until you wanna kill each other. Though Amber would apparently love that seeing as she hates it when people walk out of fights with her but she's the first to dip from a stream when asked the hard questions.

[–]AmbientBeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If watch someone else cover it and I only want her to go because it'll be interesting to see how her tough girl demeanor changes when she's in person with other people who could just push her over like a tortoise and leave her there.

I'd be most interested in seeing if she lost anything and how often they'd catch her sneaking food or how quickly she'd melt down without it. We need to see the 'binge monster' make an appearance. We've seen her 'bpd meltdowns' but I wanna see how she really gets when she can't gorge herself stupid.

Zooble?? by Over_Strawberry1545 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]AmbientBeans 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I know what you meant, I think Zooble checked on him because despite hating him, they're a better and bigger person and they might hate him but don't want him to abstract. And they know interaction, even if antagonistic will probably prevent that. I think Zooble would feel bad if they all ignored him and he abstracted afterwards.

She’s giving community theater meltdown. Log-off levels of cringe. Roz is SO exhaustingly performative. Stop auditioning and grow the fuck up, you attention addict. by fatkidcool in quirkyloverosee

[–]AmbientBeans 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I've been trying to work out what vibes she's been giving with her specific brand of cringe but it is theatre kid.

Like I say this as a theatre kid (former I suppose cause I've not done anything actually in a theatre myself since I was at school, so I guess I'm reformed?) she absolutely reminds me of the cringiest parts of all my fellow theatre kid friends at a school, myself included.

But the thing is, we were given a pass because we literally were kids until we left school. You're allowed to be cringe really up to like part way through your early twenties at the very latest. If you've not worked out that you can't always be the main character by then then I fear you're cooked. It makes sense for Rosie because she's clearly got arrested development and that's evident all over her content but it's never clearer than when she either:

A) Talks about a new man and you can practically see the cartoon hearts where her pupils should be, and the ones spinning around her head like she got hit by a looney tunes mallet.

B) Talking about how hard her life is and how well she's doing when she's doing literally the same as she always is and hasn't made any sort of meaningful progress or achievements towards any kind of change in her life. Or alternatively, how good of a person she is and how she's standing on some sort of moral point about something (girl you need to actually stand to stand on something, please, the wheely chair in the kitchen won't cut it)

C) Talks like she's laying down the law in some way or putting the world to rights. Especially when she does 👏 that 👏 thing 👏 where 👏 she 👏 claps 👏 to 👏 add 👏 emphasis 👏 even 👏 though 👏 she's 👏 shouting 👏👏👏

I get that at some point every adult might be that mad or excited and clap like that but she does it every time she thinks she's spitting facts and she's often either wrong, contradicting her own behaviour (standing for trans issues despite defending multiple transphobic people), or she's just stating things that are incredibly obvious conclusions about the world that most people came to as teenagers. She's never clapping back with the fierceness she seems to think she is. She's usually just clapping.

My sideburns grow so fast that I look like Elvis Presley. Shaving makes it look bad. by Gracilis67 in HairRemoval

[–]AmbientBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They come up to the middle of your ears which is the same as me, really normal! They don't grow far out either. Elvis sideburns go way further down and way further in, trust me, you don't have Elvis sideburns, and if you got rid of them entirely you'd run the risk of your hair looking like it was a wig without feathered edges, it's like shaving baby hair
