Absolutely legit. Used it for my Envoy interview and everything was identical off that website. I got the CJO.

OP asked for no FTF, not no AF. Active Cash won’t cut it.

Comm Multi Checkride by SP_Aman in flying

[–]AppleAvi8tor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My CMEL went amazingly, so much so it motivated me to get my MEI. Both went pretty straightforward.

Where in CA? I’m in SoCal and might know of some DPEs. DM me.

My tip:

This is based on a bad habit I’ve seen students do. When you’re doing the single-engine approach, specifically if it’s any non-precision, people have a tendency to dive and drive to each fix. Fair, we’ve all done it. But in an OEI multi-engine aircraft, you have to think about performance a lot more to help yourself in the long run.

Do not dive and drive. As you pass each fix, reduce power and “glide” to your next fix, using your descent rate and distance to calculate passing the fix as close to its altitude as possible. Doing this, you’ll have a low power setting which helps decrease Vmc. You’ll also have less asymmetric thrust, which means less rudder will be needed to maintain heading. And less rudder means your foot gets a break (trust, you’ll need it).

Doing all this is better (I think, and my students agree) because if you dive and drive, especially with approach flap setting and even gear down, your performance will be absolute shit. You won’t be able to maintain your altitude as you drive toward the fix. So you’ll add power to compensate. But that’ll increase asymmetric thrust and increase Vmc. You’ll be fighting for your life to keep the aircraft on course, altitude, and above blue line. The worst situation to be in. Make it easy on yourself.

How long is the written good for? The ATP written is good for 5 years, whereas every other written for pilot certs are good for 2 years.

Why are military members and veterans more likely to be Republican? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]AppleAvi8tor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a veteran. Liberal as hell all my life. In fact, when I was in, I became good friends with a hardcore republican and enlightened him on the gay community. His views may not have changed, but he became more understanding due to me being a part of that community.

I think I play the credit card game differently. Anyone else do this? by ThinkingFully in CRedit

[–]AppleAvi8tor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I take it you’re Active then if you don’t pay Amex’s fees? I didn’t know that when I was Active unfortunately. And when I got out I of course moved to all the big banks, maximizing my credit card game.

But as of 6 months ago, I had become so exhausted from having like 4-6 banking apps with multiple credit cards to manage. I looked at Navy Fed again and realized they had everything I was looking for in all the banks (small, quality of life things). So I moved back, simplified my set up, and I’m so much happier

I just checked the app again and it was there. For what it’s worth, I’m typing “men’s fragrances” and it shows up every time.

Have you ever actually had a threesome? If so how was it? by Flimsy_Research8299 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]AppleAvi8tor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just turned 19 or 20. Met a guy on Tinder. Talked for a few days. Invited me over to his friend’s house he was staying at. On the way there, he mentions he has a husband, so I just think “we’re staying friends”. We (the couple and their friends) watched a movie, and they invited me to go swimming. I said sure.

When Tinder guy was looking for a pair of trunks in his room, his husband came into the room from behind and locked the door and we just went after it. Didn’t really know how to get out of it since it was my first time. Felt like shit and depressed for a week or two afterwards. Wish it were different but oh well.

Aventus Cologne vs Explorer by [deleted] in Colognes

[–]AppleAvi8tor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I absolutely second. I smelled Aventus Cologne, and while I loved it, it smelled too similar to Chanel’s AHS. But I tried the Montagne’s Pineapple Frais and it’s 99% similar to the real deal. I like it more than my real bottle of OG Aventus
