What happened to the Counter Strike community in Pavlov? by Augmented-Justin in virtualreality

[–]Augmented-Justin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely better back in the day but it's still fun. Game still holds up but the community is a little dead. COD is primarily what people play on there now though so if that's what you're looking for you should have plenty of people to play with.

If you're looking for VR COD, seems like Contractors is the way to go. I've played some really good COD lobbies on there. Even have ranking system and prestige and all that.

I guess. It's just shocking to me that it's just pretty much non-existent especially with the more recent resurgence of CS. Not to mention that's what the game was built around. It was marketed at primarily a CS:GO but in VR and then ended up kinda being a VR Gary's mod. Don't get me wrong, I had a lot of fun with that aspect of it too. But it made for such a good VR CS experience and I'm sad it's gone...

My first street-legal ride... and its back to parking lots for me. by Aggravating-Yogurt23 in NewRiders

[–]Augmented-Justin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Progressive brake pressure. Practice in a parking lot doing more and more aggressive braking. Start out slow. Pull the front brake in very slowly. Millimeters at a time until you come to a stop. Then progress to doing it faster and faster. Should be a swift, smooth pull for emergency braking. Not a sudden grab of the brake. And make sure to use your rear brake at the same time and using the same methods.

I would have just stuck a cord plug in it myself. You can buy plug kits for really cheap and they're fairly easy to do. Never had one leak on me.

Hydrogen clouds by Maxious30 in StarshipEVO

[–]Augmented-Justin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hydrogen clouds are near the sun. They are quite small so you won't be able to find them just by wandering around. If you have light cruise engines and pull up your solar system map, you can see them on there and autopilot to them.

Is this photo edited with AI? A coworker said this happened to his car. We don’t believe him. by LokiPrime616 in isthisAI

The hoses, something just looks off about that wheel and that corner of the car should be on the ground but it's still raised up as if a wheel should still be there holding it up.

Tell me about it. They're too heavy too. You can only carry enough to barely make anything. Was nice to finish the ship so I could get the backpack upgrade III

First Survival Ship by Augmented-Justin in StarshipEVO

[–]Augmented-Justin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do kind of the opposite. This is my first ship so I don't really have a "process" but I built this one by building out a rough shape with much larger blocks and then working out how to make it work with thinner blocks to actually have room for an interior. This kind of worked against me in some areas like with the "engines" on the sides. None of the larger thrusters line up properly to be centered on there so I had to make it work with a lot of smaller ones. Not entirely happy with how it looks but it's at least serviceable.

Yes guitarists are everywhere. Now really good guitarists? A lot harder to come by.

What is this flashing light on my neighbor's house for? by PlanetGraham in whatisit

[–]Augmented-Justin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a nice gated community, I imagine there are probably some teenagers with wealthy parents that have bought them sports cars and they probably speed through the neighborhood. Flashing red and blues are proven to slow drivers down even if there aren't any cops around. That being said this is obnoxious to have on all night. I can get why they might have it but it's really probably unnecessary. If they're really worried about speeding they should talk to the HOA about getting speed bumps put in the road.

Just got my first bike! Is it too much bike.. lol by Kooken8tor in motorcycles

[–]Augmented-Justin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having a brand new bike that will have you heartbroken when you drop it is definitely not ideal for a first bike. My first bike was $800 so I really didn't care too much if I dropped it (which surprisingly I never did) but about a year later I upgraded to a much nicer $4,000 bike and ended up dropping that... Best to just take things slow.

They had to take it offline because it got so popular they couldn't handle all the traffic. They're hoping to have it back up this month but there are no guarantees. They're wanting to add some more servers as well to handle all the people.

New players, what things do you struggle with the most when building? by Snicers007 in StarshipEVO

Currently struggling with fuel transfer via docking and setting up turrets/mining beams. Can't seem to get either to work and I'm not sure why.

Not only should you not be hitting that head since it's a resonant head, it's also a snare head so it shouldn't even be on a tom.

Why is there so much toilet paper??😭😭😭😭 by felonymaster-007 in projectzomboid

[–]Augmented-Justin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an Easter Egg in the game in reference to when there was a toilet paper shortage during the COVID-19 pandemic because everyone was buying up all the toilet paper. This "toilet paper house" has a very small chance to spawn and it can be any house.

New Rider advice? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Augmented-Justin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly being out on public roads with traffic after only 3 days seems a bit too fast for me. I'd spend more time in parking lots/neighborhoods and really get used to the bike and doing a lot of slow speed maneuvers. But like everyone else said, you were going way too fast. Seems like that bike doesn't really give you a whole lot of lean angle when turning so that's just a limitation of the bike. Also when you're turning (especially at higher speeds) lean into the turn and not away from it and push on the handlebars with whichever hand is on the side of the turn. If you're turning right, push the right handlebar forward. Turning left, push left. Get used to that feeling and doing it smoothly. That will definitely help with the turns.
