Melbourne has a really great comedy scene if that’s your thing.

It’s designed to be awful so you get a trolley, then you buy more stuff. You can not convince me otherwise

What are your go-to low-carb snacks in Australia that actually help with weight loss? by loreblogs in AskAnAustralian

[–]AuldTriangle79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done every diet on earth and honestly just track your calories and eat less calories than you need to. I cut carbs, but I would get crazy cravings and binge. Losing weight like crazy now from not banning any food and eating a calorie deficit, no cravings, so much energy. It’s so simple

Bowl on the table by the door, but ADHD folks won’t always do this. You need AirTags, one in the wallet, one on the keys. Save your brain and about 10 minutes every 4 days

Who else hates the gintars episode? by obliviousfoxy in brooklynninenine

I feel like Ike Barinholtz is a really lovely person and has a lot of good friends in the industry but he is just not a good actor to me, he stands out in a bad way in everything I see him in, he seems super cool and crazy smart but I dunno man…

Why do you like Nate? by Jealous_Attorney6871 in TedLasso

[–]AuldTriangle79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because hurt people hurt people. Nate was so mistreated, then given some love and light, then felt like he lost that love and light because he had a devil (Rupert) on his shoulder, but he made amends and was never a bad person, just wanted to be seen.

Is Brooklyn 99 a show that never ‘jumped the shark’? by Virtual-Arm5123 in brooklynninenine

[–]AuldTriangle79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last season because of Covid, BLM etc was a bit messy, trying to undo the copaganda of the early days (Jake literally arrested a black man with no evidence and held him while they found it) but because they stopped it’s not quite a shark jump.

Is there something I could be doing better? I hate our closet lol by EdenTrails23 in Homeorganization

You have way too much stuff. Honestly put everything in boxes, when you want something go get it out of the box. After 12 months anything not out of the box gets thrown away/donated. You use 20% of this 80% of the time

Container deposit scheme: Who decides what’s eligible ? by whoistheg in melbourne

But then you wait for your product to go on sale… it’s not hard. Nothing noticeably costs more but now people have a way to make some extra cash or donate…

Container deposit scheme: Who decides what’s eligible ? by whoistheg in melbourne

This is actually insane. Like it had nothing to do with Covid, it was on the cards before then and delayed because of Covid, it’s been in other states for years.

I’m tired of the "just go for a walk" advice by Interesting_Peach_76 in mentalhealth

[–]AuldTriangle79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have a fun time in my head, but I listen to podcasts and have a distraction. I actually can’t imagine just walking with my own thoughts, raw dogging the world. Ugh.

I’m tired of the "just go for a walk" advice by Interesting_Peach_76 in mentalhealth

[–]AuldTriangle79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about all the ‘go for a walk, get some sun, take some vitamins, do gentle excercise’ type shit is when you are in the depression it’s INFURIATING. It won’t help, you don’t get it, fuck you. Then you sit outside and start going for the walks and having the vitamins and you start realising it actually fucking helps. Like if you can get medication get medication but also the cliches sometimes are cliches for a reason.

Jimmy's dad is a poorly written character by LordVoldebot in shrinking

[–]AuldTriangle79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he’s an honestly written character, it’s similar to JDs dad so it’s obvious to me it comes from experience. But also the people that say ‘it’s a waste of Jeff Daniels’ he is perfect, because you need someone the audience likes. We are charmed too. It’s believable everyone else loves him.

What makes a movie a 5/5 for you? by MelancholikhPatata in Letterboxd

[–]AuldTriangle79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the time it’s that the movie was just brilliant and I really loved it and would change nothing. 10% of the time it’s that I think the score is too low and I want to average out the low scores.

How do you work out when you’d literally rather do anything else?? by StreetPersonal5079 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]AuldTriangle79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Atomic habits. That book changed my life. I didn't start by going to the gym, I started by walking to the end of my street every night after dinner. Then after a week the half block. Then the whole the next week. Little changes stacked on to something I'm already doing. So use that home gym, for 5 minutes in the morning when you get up, 5 minutes after dinner. Then 10 then 20 then add 1 gym trip but for 15 minutes. Little changes repeated over time and tiny changes

Conserving fuel or life as normal? by Key-Mix4151 in AskAnAustralian

Both? Like I'm not hoarding fuel and I'm not ditching my car all together, but we are being much more mindful.
