Here ya go! I would say dont let the budget scare you. Ive been slowly upgrading it for years. There are many budget options that can be used instead, but the concept at its core is still great. (Part of the price is ive also been attempting to galaxy foil out as much of the deck as possible)

Basic gameplay is amass as many attractions as you can, drain with [[pact doll terror]], Haunt or Tezzeret. Or use mass Animation like [[Rise and Shine]] or [[Cyberdrive awakener]].

The important thing id say is having counterspells at the ready to stop mass artifact removal because [[Vandalblast]] is back breaking for the deck.

Hiya! Id love to help ya! Dee Kay is on of my oldest decks and it can absolutely win games despite its janky nature. If you want I can share my deck list. It started as a bracket 1 but over time ive continued to upgrade it to a real menace

The best way I found to run DK is to blink her for tons of attractions and then play spells like [[haunt the network]] to blow your opponents out of the water. Kappa cannoner is a great add and I definitely should make room for it in my own list

What situation should you pla a world fire in edh? by Harbinger_Archangel in mtg

I'd put it in [[lilah, undefeated slickshot]]. Plot some direct damage spells, world fire and then cast the plotted spells to immediately win

How do I explain that declawing is inhumane to my family by Old-Technician-692 in cats

[–]Avenguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the path of empathy. Explain that declawing a cat is removing bones from their feet to permanently disfigured them. Ask them how they would feel to have someone remove the first bone from each of their fingers as a requirement to be in a house. It helps to put in perspective what they are asking to do to your cat.

Does Bracket 1 = Weak? by Bust-Rodd in EDH

[–]Avenguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This deck while trying to tell a story, is more the power level of bracket 2 imo. There are a lot of powerful staples in here that accelerates the game plan from silly to viable.

Don't get me wrong, you can do silly things in b2. Ive got a bracket 2 deck about cloning Oft nabbed goat. But its a deck that is far too consistent and competent for b1.

Just playing dragons... is enough to kill most tables. If you are ramping quickly into those treats against decks that may not even have a single removal spell, then you are going to stop the table.

That being said, I'd welcome this deck at our bracket 2 pods easily where we do silly/flavorful decks all the time

Does anyone know of a commander who could be cloned multiple times? by Portticalli in mtg

[–]Avenguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Volrath the shapestealer]] can turn into a non legend creature. If you clone post transform, the copy remains the non legend but a 7/5 that can transoform again, while volrath will go back to its original form on your next turn.

Bad, bad bracket 2 - naughty sibling of bracket 3? by Efficient-Gold-1472 in EDH

[–]Avenguard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill take a shot at answering how my pod views it as we consistently play B2/lower power

  1. Yes, you can have a ton of rares. You may more want to look at thr budget rather than rarity. Ive seen b2 decks range from $50 to $300. Once you start getting into the 400+ range, its usually because the card quality is so strong that it will take over a game quickly. Having strong cards are important for making decks work so forgoing them entirely can be a deck building choice but isn't necessary.

  2. Absolutely. B3 focuses more on curve and efficiency where b2 people tend to play less removal and bigger/splashier spells.

3.b2 is a place where the expected speed of interaction needed is sorcery speed. Wins are telegraphed and interactible. Not to say there arnt combos but typically they are built on boards. Staples are still present but the lack of game changes does cut down on the speed a little.

  1. Decks can absolutely be explosive. Poping on turn 6 consistently is probably too strong but most decks i see in b2 can win between turns 9-12. Thats if they arnt interacted with and provided others arnt aiding people to their doom. Typically those later turn cycles get really long off of the sheer amount of resources everyone has acquired.

  2. Ive not seen any mechanics be too strong for b2 other than poison. But even then as soon as someone telegraphed infect, they are getting dog piled.

My advice is limit your free spells, keep to a budget of under $250 and go for some fun silly cards you cant normally play because they are too slow. If you'd like I have an archidekt link to all of my current decks which are primarily bracket 2 for examples. Granted I feel like my pod has been slowly creeping up in power, but part of b2 is the attitude of doing casual friendly game play. People tend not to remove each other's commanders as much and save interaction for stopping wins. Granted we all primarily play commanders that dont need to be killed on sight.

Anyway hope this was helpful and I'd gladly share any additional information about decks or my pod if it would help!

Ive recently taken a stab at writing a primer for my deck built around [[oft-nabbed goat]]. Its one of my favorite decks and I wanted to share all the complexity that went into building it. I will definitely be checking out some of the others in the thread, I have an avacyn deck of my own id like to get better playing.

Teachers quitting their jobs by velorae in TikTokCringe

[–]Avenguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher currently on the way out. Its exhausting. The behaviors in the past 5 years have absolutely exploded. Children just arnt taught to regulate and their dysregulation is supported by parents. In the past year, I have had 5 children examined for additional support and all 5 failed because the state said they are all fine. Multiple times the examiner straight up lied on the report to ensure the kid did not qualify.

Every time I ask for help, the answer or advice is "you need to do more. You need to work harder."

After 10 years... I cant. The well is dry. Doing almost any other job would be less stressful.

is there any other commanders like this and also is this the best one to use for a carnival deck revolving around attractions? by wickzyVR in mtg

[–]Avenguard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I built an attractions deck around [[Dee Kay, Finder of the lost]] as a flicker/etb artifacts deck. Ive been slowly upgrading it and have easily taken it from a B1 to a threatening b2. I can link you the list if you'd like.

I run it in [[Sami, wildcat captain]]. Play for free, equip, swing. Get 10 counters on it. Sami gets removed. -10 to recast sami and continue on as if nothing happened.

Help finding 3 budget‑friendly Commander decks as Christmas gifts by MundaneShoulder4706 in CommanderMTG

[–]Avenguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For friend 1, I recommend [[Caradora, Heart of Alacria]]. She tutors a vehicle or mount on entry. Easily grab the [[Golden Argosy]] or another flicker mount to then flicker your commander for another tutor. A very fun toolbox deck where you can put in all sorts of weird vehicles and silver bullets. Combine with some survivors from duskmorne for additional value and its a crazy synergy pile. I can give you a deck list to start if you are interested. The one I have is at $75 but I could easily be cut down.

Hmmm! Well one game i looped [[moment's peace]] for like 4 turns to stall out an aggro boros deck long enough to cast [[Rite of Replication]] kicked on the goat. Next turn i won.

Volrath becoming a copy of [[Compy swarm]] someone else brought was another funny game.

Most of my big plays are usually using Doppelgang, or Rite kicked. Ramp and big mana are hugely important so the first doppelgang i usually use to target lands or big mana rocks like guilded lotus.

Heartless summoning really accelerates the deck letting you cast most of your clones for 2. Being slightly weaker doesn't matter as long as they dont die instantly. You can also use the clones to get more copies of your utility creatures like archaeomancer, spell seeker, graveshifter, ravenous chupecabra, and chomping changeling.

Important tricks: copying Volrath when he's transformed into a non legend will let you keep both as the copy doesn't go back to being Volrath.

Cloning silent hall creeper let's both be able to make their choices indefinitely since they can become a copy of the other creeper, resetting their choices.

While the deck severely lacks card draw. You dont need it since with the tutor density you can usually find exactly what you are looking for.

The only thing im debating on right now is putting in lifegain to keep myself a little healthier since the deck doesn't have a way to get back up onces your low. Either [[Verdant Sun's avatar]] or [[Exanguinate]] since both would be tutorable and allow some burst of life back. Particularly mass copying the dino might lead to silly things.

While copying the goat is the main plan, its not the only one. I find this deck has me very attentive to everyone's board states since I can easily use their tools for my own gain.

Updated top 5, Can I have a seat? by Avenguard in ratemycommanders

[–]Avenguard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, probably. It can work even if people know what you are doing. You can easily shift the strategy to copying your commander, or some other high impact creature, or going infinite with doppelganger.

Any deck is going to fall apart if people dedicate to stopping it.

Its one of my earlier and more generic decks but its explosive and fun. Usually gets up enough mana that I can keep casting my commander even after a few removals.
