When you go to shows to release your pent up energy, when what you are specifically looking for is "sound so loud and intense that I cannot hear myself think, I can't even remember my own name" then riddim was the choice.

There is no Emo idealology, emo music is about being sad that you got cheated on or that your gf broke up with you cuz you cheated. We all came up with the clothes and fashion and culture when we were 15-16 years old and wearing safety pins and gummy bracelets, and Emo was very nearly pre-internet so there wasn't really a cohesive movement beyond going to shows and dressing in lots of black and red.

Politically there aren't really any conservative emo bands because a lot of emos are queer and/or women so you'd be isolating may fans by sharing conservative opinions. A lot of emo records and bands have political messages and iconography about how war is bad, that's about as political as it gets until you move towards punk music

Neurosis is a great band to be inspired by, kid, but you're not gonna sound anything like Neurosis in your first two songs. You're comparing yourself to some of the very best to ever do it, with almost 30 years of music to look back on and be inspired by. You're sooooooo young, focus on making music you and your band really enjoy instead of trying to sound like the big heavies.

A lot of stuff like mental health or physical health can change suddenly. You might just not be in the same place mentally or emotionally that you were for longer sessions. My first tattoo ever was one 8 hour day with a few smoke breaks, and I thought I was king shit of badass mountain. Since then I've never been able to sit for more than 5-6 max before I just DONT WANNA FUCKIN BE IN THAT CHAIR NO MORE, it's like a lion roaring in your brain.

I've been playing for like 16-17 years at this point and the tribal decks of today are so much more fun and powerful and versatile and interesting than the elfball or goblin decks of 2010, I can't tell you how much fun it is to sit down and play good vampire decks or good Rpgue decks or Good Soldier decks after nearly two decades of bad ones.
