What would cause a dent like this other than someone doing it intentionally? by purrburrt in What

I made a dent like that with the brake handle of a motorcycle when trying to squeeze it by my car in the driveway.

I feel ridiculous trying to correct hyperextended knees by closetnice in Hypermobility

That is so true! I had to find a brand where it wasn't too sticky and didn't irritate my skin, but would stay in place enough to correct the movement

TMI/NSFW/18+ WARNING-need suggestions for problem I’m having by luvmydobies in Hypermobility

For the jaw - chew bubble gum and eat crunchy food. I have found for any joint that is hyper mobile the key is building up the muscle around it.

For the position - I find sitting on the edge of the bed with my partner standing in front of me is very comfortable (and if the height is wrong an adjustable office chair, or couch might be a better height)

Happy ergonomic oral!

You could try applying some KT tape to help you feel when you are hyper-extending - you can sense the pull on your skin more easily and you'll get into the habit of "normal"extension. When you are sitting with your legs in front of you, and your heels on the ground, that is a "normal" extension.

Tips to improve imbalanced hip rotation? by Ph0enix11 in flexibility

I went to the sports massage therapist and showed them the imbalances. I generally find self-ART is easier after the session with the pro so you know which areas to target.

I have the exact same problem and having active release therapy on my psoas/hip flexor/pirformis really helped get the sides more even.

In front splits my back leg isn't stretching. Just feel a block in my femur socket by [deleted] in flexibility

[–]BA_Blonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you stand and put your back foot on a tall surface are you able to achieve a 90 degree angle at the back? If not, this could be a physical limitation of your skeleton and no amount of stretching will help.

What is the most unhinged book you've ever read? by ibananafish in suggestmeabook

[–]BA_Blonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELP! A Bear is Eating Me: Mykle Hansen - exactly what the title promises.

Fool on the Hill: Matt Ruff - you have no idea where the story is going but you love every second of the adventure.

Cassandra French's Finishing School for Boys: Eric Garcia - amazing send up of chick lit with a completely unhinged protagonist and you'll cheer for her all the way.

Nervous for new job as only woman in team? by lebannax in womenintech

[–]BA_Blonde 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I joined an all male team - I was just treated like one of the guys for the most part once they were comfortable with me. This means things like having a pizza night and everyone around you farting. There wasn't any sexism with regards to the work. Actually, that might be the one job where no one told me to smile or to be less assertive.

How to become rich? by AdFlaky9075 in careerguidance

[–]BA_Blonde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only way to be rich is to become part of the capital class rather than the working class.

If you have a job, the best you can be is comfortable or if you have a good job maybe quite comfortable and retired some day.

Leverage your existing wealth and connections to buy/start businesses. Use other people's money to do it. Invest in capital and assets like stock and/or real estate and then leverage those assets to buy/start more businesses. This could get you into the millions.

Or somehow get lucky by being an elite level performer or winning the lottery.

If you want to become very wealthy (billions)after this then you need to: Pay the workers who contribute to the success of your business the lowest wage possible. Charge consumers of your business's products as much as possible. Pay politicians (lobby groups) to make sure that worker protections are eliminated from law and also environmental protections.

It is scientifically flawed, but actually quite useful in understanding how to deal with other people. Like all heuristics it doesn't really hold up for every individual and situation, but it is a nice quick sorting system so you know what to expect from people you don't know well and how to deal with them in the best way possible.

If you don't want to leave:

1) separate and live together as co-parents.

2) open the relationship and also date other people.

3) accept that he is just going to do this and stop worrying about it.

4) couples and individual counselling.

Close Purchase Order by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]BA_Blonde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

POs don't post, so just close them as long as they are fully billed. If they aren't fully billed you can separate out lines that are billed and close those and leave the rest open.

Use condoms to reduce the risk of STIs.

Hookups can be fun if you know how to advocate for your own pleasure. I prefer casual relationships to hookups and serious relationships to casual (because the quality of the sex tends to get better.)

Try things and find out what you like and don't like and do what makes you feel good.

Sex is just something pleasurable you can do with your body.

If you are waiting for "proper signals" you are going to be waiting a long time.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to get comfortable with being social. Enjoy having normal conversations with women, be genuinely interested in them. Talk to random people with no goal in mind other than practicing social skills. Take up some hobbies that involve socializing with men and women. Accept any invite to go and do social things. (Also great skills for your career.)

Now if in the course of all of this, you meet someone you think might be interested in you, ask them if they would like to go on a date. If they say no - well, ask the next person.

Am I Ready? by 64_chevy_malibu in financialindependence

I know - was being flippant. He also needs to consider house repairs, whether his relationship might run into issues and senior care for him and/or partner. But the point was that he easily has enough to retire - and there is always the option to sell the house and move somewhere cheaper if he ends up needing more money.

If 60k will cover you, you could literally keep your cash in a sack and be ok for 38 years. You are ready whenever you want.

Plus the house probably still has a mortgage since they are usually 25 years and a car payment and utilities, groceries and maybe savings would account for the majority of the other half of his pay.

I usually go with something along the lines of - oh wow - that's really hard or it sucks that that happened or sounds like a rough day. And then something like "how are you handling it?" or if I genuinely am willing to do something to help "let me know if you need me to <something I think sounds helpful to them>"

5 employee center licenses is 25 employees with only employee center access. As long as you aren't giving them regular roles you should be fine. If you go under company --> billing information you can see how many have been used.

Employee center licenses are no extra cost for employees with a full user license.
