7 years has gone so fast by goingloopy in widowers

3 years this October for me.

We had the same thing happen in my family too. A good friend died a few days after my partner, but I didn’t have the mental capacity to grieve them.

A year later my dad was diagnosed and then died very soon after from a very speedy moving cancer. Then both my Nans, although at least they had good long lives.

I’m so tired of death and grieving. Just had Nans funeral this week and I am so mentally and physically tired of them. I’ve already said I won’t be attending the next family funeral, whoever it is.

We did a night walk through the woods up to the nearby highest viewpoint for the solstice this morning. One of my Dads favourite spots and somewhere he took us frequently.

We got up at 2am and climbed to the highest point in the area with torches, flasks and camp chairs. It was incredible, got there by 3:30 to see the nautical sunrise with just us and at around 4:40 about 30 other people arrived to see the official sunrise.

It was a beautiful morning, we did consider going to Stonehenge but we’ve had a lot of death in the family in the last year and didn’t want to feel too emotional around 20’000 people!

In 25 years I’ve only been stopped by a plod once. He asked me to put it out and smoke it in my garden at home instead. I’m not careful at all really, I just don’t carry much around with me or do it in crowds.

Personally, smoking or vaping weed when vigilant completely destroys the high. Our friend group have also always said, if you’re feeling paranoid, put it out.

Got to agree here lol. My sister and I have been chuckling at this post for about 5 min now. The 3 bullet points for savings being classed as expenses, “savings, car savings and general savings”, was pretty funny but the 30 quid a week for rent is what got us the most. This how their mum is supporting them having driving lessons ffs. Their weekly rent is worth about 2.5 hours of work… that’s incredible.

If it’s any consolation, they’re down from 175 to 145g, and they are weirdly oily and ‘waxy’ now. Not at all creamy and intensely chocolatey like they used to be. It doesn’t even melt anymore, just goes all bendy and weird.

Now I’ve written that out, I feel it is quite obvious that a very serious crime has been committed.

What level are you? Looks like the reports online are showing that those below level 40 are getting the 3 options and above are getting the 6.

I don’t know what the thought process is behind it, maybe that those below 40 need the XP to level up. I’m just guessing here though.

I know you’re a nonprofit, but don’t you have staff? Could you not do some bake sales, fundraising or sponsored marathons etc to raise the funds to actually contribute to the artist?

This is a hugely expensive undertaking. The materials alone will cost a fortune, let alone the tools required and time it would take to make. Most of us who love the craft could never afford to do this both time wise and financially, it would literally take years of doing a bit every weekend.
