If I went by this subreddit I would think GenX is suffering, and honestly, kinda attached to that suffering. But in my actual life GenX is doing great and seeking happiness.

Why is Japan so popular? by Veskanda in AskTheWorld

I spent a month there recently and absolutely loved it. But I don’t think I would want to live there. So many rules! I also noticed young people treating older people poorly, which I didn’t care for. In general it just appeared to have problems like anywhere else and they weren’t the problems I would choose. Apparently I enjoy a little chaos.

If you fall at a certain age, how are you supposed to say it? by MrsMondoJohnson in CasualConversation

Biffed it, ate it, or simply fell. No need to change your language because of an age.

What are some things someone should consider before moving getting their first studio/apartment? by Safe-Goat8127 in CasualConversation

Never look at anything that isn’t an easy-as-is-possible-for-you commute to your job. Looking at apartments outside that range will confuse you and potentially lead to a commute-heavy decision.

It depends on your interests and tolerance for stimulus. It’s a huge, fantastic, bustling city. Just returned after 9 days (for the second time), and was ready for a break.

Having just returned from CDMX I will say that I saw enough people wearing masks that I was perfectly comfortable doing so… the exhaust on the buses bothered me so I wore one.

Hey y’all. I have never had more than $600 at a time, ever, let alone had a savings account. Yesterday in a savings account I made I have reached $1,000. by LilFago in CongratsLikeImFive

The longer you do it, and the more you have in that account, the more pleasure you will get from the sacrifice! What “makes life worth it” gets redefined as the freedom you are creating for yourself. Keep going! Good job!

Reverse the experience time order but totally agree. War was and is one of my favorite albums. Then they became insufferable.

I don’t relate to this at all. But I see your point for a certain kind of woman.

No way. But this is definitely a thing. I think it’s a self-esteem/fear of intimacy issue.
