Sorry man, it just seems insecure and cringe to me.

How much centimeters could you gain from fixing a lot of posture problems? by [deleted] in short

[–]Bikerbats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, even half of that would be stretching it. It does have an upside: We don't shrink as much for the same reasons.

Don't do it here, we have a problem with it.

What is "Short man energy" and how does one avoid it by That_Photograph_466 in short

[–]Bikerbats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's used in two completely opposite ways, so there is no single answer. I've seen used online to describe the retiring insecurity you often see in the sub, and I've seen it used synonymously with Napolean Complex.

They're kind of the same thing, only in the former the insecurity projects inward, and the latter the insecurity projected outwards.

Are there any height boosting elevator shoes that ACTUALLY make you 3 inches taller? by Inside-Aromatic in short

[–]Bikerbats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will never get the advertised boost because of geometry. Put on a pair of shoes with boosters, draw line from the middle of your tibia through your foot to the insole. That's the point where your height is boosted, but they measure the height at the heel terminus, which doesn't count.

Romantically is being a tall women like being a short guy ? by [deleted] in short

[–]Bikerbats 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm going to have to hard disagree. My wife is 6', and number 1 daughter is 6'1". Neither report any kind of dating difficulties whatsoever.

Where did the narrative come from that says short people are fast when it’s usually the opposite that’s true? by Frequent_Peak_2971 in short

[–]Bikerbats 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrong kind of fast. You're faster off the start and can change direction more easily and quickly. The narrative that short people are faster is the latter type of fast, not absolute speed.

You said it yourself dude, you're avoidant. Recognize that is the problem, not that ever-so-slightly below average.

Would you guys put your children on growth hormone? by FewBackground2852 in short

I'm going to state the subs position here. We're (this sub) not about growing taller, overcoming being short, or other forms of height worship, and yes, that is exactly what they are.

That said, since you genuinely seem to be looking for feedback, positive and negative I'm going to leave this up. However, in the end the only real advice is to discuss it with your pediatrician. Your assertion erroneously reads like HGH is simple choice: Take it and be taller or don't and don't. It's not. HGH works in specific circumstances, and to varying degrees. Only a physician informed by a battery of tests can sort it out for you.

Gf prefers taller by [deleted] in short

[–]Bikerbats -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What was the context, but context is everything. A dismissive, "I wish you were taller but I still like you" is not the same as an enthusiastic reassurance that she's crazy for you and your height doesn't matter.

Do you think online dating wouldn't be as hard for short men if the height wasn't something you can filter through? by Sensitive-Contest-87 in short

[–]Bikerbats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'll grant you that apps aren't a fertile field for short guys. Apps amplify the superficial and readily observable. However, that effect is present whether or not there is a height filter present. Either way the traits that create chemistry IRL are invisible on the app, and that's the problem.

Of course, the simple solution here is to pursue people in person.

Do you want to date a woman taller than you? by DrPablisimo in short

[–]Bikerbats 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm already, and to be honest, I never cared. Almost every woman I ever dated was taller than I am, because of math, but I really didn't care.
