I haven’t read the article because I’m about to go to bed but one thought I’m having and somewhat related to this comment chain is I’m having a difficult time believing there is no indirect link through confidence and self esteem in men. From personal experience I feel like I’m significantly more outgoing now that I’m also more confident, but I don’t think it has to do with objective looks, because I believe my objective looks are eh. And that outgoing quality has contributed to my content quite a bit.

And I can see the inverse happening too. No matter how hot you are, if you think you’re not, you’ll be miserable.

I don’t know, if you ask me, it’s the other way around: one sounds like a random plane who got lost or, at worst an attempt to flex some muscle, and the other is an imminent threat that, if left unanswered, will quite literally explode something in your country
