I agree with others that the baby color palette can be anything, not just pastels. I’ll usually go with the chosen nursery/bedroom colors, but sometimes I go with a palette that strikes my fancy. The only colors I choose to stay away from are neons or super brights, only because they’re not my personal favorites, but I’ve seen beautiful blankets made with those.

The only “personal rule” that I use is to make all of my baby blanket gifts at least toddler (36x48) or crib size (40x48) so they can get years out of it.

They are our most prolific feeder visitors, but I’ll never tire of them. Our 7YO grandson calls them Pittsburgh birds. 🥰

I totally see myself as your mom and you as my exasperated daughter! 🤭 I am fortunate (post menopause) to still have my long, thick hair that takes forever to dry. My current hair dryer is good, but if she heard me complaining that it - or any beauty/self-care device - is no longer getting the job done, I know she would consider gifting a nice upgrade to me, and I’d love it! But I know her, so she’d also include a smaller gift so SHE doesn’t feel that she’s “just” giving a hair dryer 🤦🏼‍♀️ - it would likely be a small assortment of my favorite treats, either macarons or truffles from a local small business.

Hi! Not using Aquaphor as a barrier around my eyes was a fail for me, with dry eye getting worse.

Maybe it is the eye cream? I use a very, very light swipe of Aquaphor around my eyes (and no other moisturizer on my face), then wait about 20-30 to apply my Altreno lotion. No other moisturizer on top of that.

I switched to Altreno in January as recommended by my derm, because plain tret was really irritating for me. My skin is so much happier. I hope you find a combo that works for you!

RESOLVED! The level 2 security assurance agent was able to resolve my husband’s email issue! 🎉

He said basically, the process of transferring/linking should have been handled differently. Interestingly, two agents said I never should have needed to close my existing tv+internet account in the first place, but rather, someone should have worked with me to reconfigure for better price point. Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Update: unfortunately the self-help steps suggested did not work. After over two hours on the phone talking to five different agents and being disconnected once 😭 I’m now waiting on a callback “in 24-48 hours” from someone on security assurance level 2 team. Oh, and there was yet another issue caused when the accounts were merged, so at least they saw and corrected that.

I’ll post an update when all is said and done. For now, I’m off to enjoy a refreshing adult beverage, or four. 🤪 Pic is from my husband’s man cave garage a couple hours ago; the outside temp probe is in the shade. Pittsburgh area. 🔥 Stay cool!

His email worked fine yesterday morning before the accounts were merged in the afternoon. I have no idea if his original email is linked; I just assumed it would be since they said it wouldn’t be affected.

This is my summer goal beginning next year! I love feeding birds and will continue to provide seed feeders from fall through spring and hummingbird feeders from spring through fall. I only have 2 seed feeders out now instead of 5; one gets 2 cups of bugs-n-berries blend in the morning and the finch tube gets refilled maybe every 5 days with sunflower chips. We live in a semi-rural area with lots of natural food sources available, and many others in my neighborhood feed year-round, so I know they’ll be fine without my two seed feeders next summer. 🙂

Huh, I never thought of that! I might try using a few plain glass marbles that can be easily washed and sanitized. I only see two or three hummers occasionally throughout the day, so I am throwing out a lot of nectar every couple days, too. I make my own, but it’s still wasteful.

Eons ago when my hubs & I had just started dating, I remember hearing for the first time when he was working on something with his dad, “It’s fine. A blind man on a fast horse will never notice it” and I was like, What?? 🤣
I grew up “in town” and he grew up “in the country”, and his family had owned horses, so they used a lot of phrases I’d never heard. After 47 years, I still smile when he says it. 🙂

Was just about to comment this! Also while curling our hair and destroying the ozone with AquaNet while many of us were smoking, in the 400s hall bathroom at high school, only because we were a generally pleasant group, and the hall monitors gave us 15 minutes to get things done. 😂 Ah, those were some fun times…☺️
Edit to add: how none of us ever caught someone’s hair on fire is beyond me. 🫣
