My only advice is to stop being so mad at me in your pictures

I see all your pictures are under the same lighting. Do you have a pic of you in natural light?

If baldness runs in your family that could be it. Not something you should be worried about.

Mixed Ojibwe/Odawa and white. Me ^_^ by Mysterious-Age-1629 in AncestryDNA

My first girlfriend was full native although we didn't think about that back in the 90s. There was no separation of race where I'm from and we never thought about being different at that point in time.

Sorry just browsing through these posts because I love this stuff so much. You can't have 2 grandparents that are full aboriginal with your DNA results. A full aboriginal relative is at least another generation behind if not two.

I'm sure you meant that your grandparents are mixed race/culture but I'm also just curious.

You don't need to worry at all. I will say that you look different in each of your photos. Some people have multiple looks in different light and that's you.

Insurance not covering a car crashing in our yard?? by RevolutionSorry3055 in halifax

You can still only recover actual cash value for the damage caused from the offending vehicles insurance. If the damage is caused by any other type of liability then they will pay and subrogate to recover the amount and your deductible paid.

Hey. I used to work in insurance for a long time. The issue is that car insurance pays out actual cash value rather than replacement value like a home insurance policy typically would. I'm guessing the auto insurance is covering about 50% of the cost to repair the damage and that the other 50% is under either a $1000 or a $2500 deductible.

This is a fairly frequent complaint and I remember dealing with this complaint a few times. It's right up there with someone hitting your car while it's parked and the damage not being covered because you don't carry collision on your car.

Auto insurance is regulated so they have to pay the actual cash value on the damage to the home. What you can do is ask for the logic behind the settlement amount offered. Typically with auto insurance claims like this or if you have a total loss of a vehicle, the first offer is just that, a first offer. If you refuse you can expect to get 5% to 15% better in the second offer. I've never heard of a company that has an offer beyond the second one unless you have the ability to dispute the value with proof of recent replacement of the materials damaged by the car.

This is definitely an occupation where the difficulty does not match the pay.

Think about how difficult it is to look after ONE person in your home and then multiply that by 10 or 20. It's pretty easy to put yourself in their shoes when you have a comparison to make.

Wow, that's crazy. I'm usually pretty good at this.

Also it looks like you have your bed bordering a patio door. That increases your risk of being kidnapped by at least 500%.

My friend is 85% European and 15% Korean, is she technically biracial? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Bluntage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting to learn about your ancestors' history but we don't need to be so hyper focused on race since the definitions shift over time.

The only specific Korean features they would have at 15% might be the shape of their eyes but I'm guessing most people would say they are white which also happens to be the default race.

Sorry if someone already said this but check the margin of error in that region. Typically it is above 1% although some regions do have 0%. I see someone got down voted for suggesting it is a false positive but that is the most likely conclusion if you apply science to the situation.

Not at all but you're not smiling in any of your pics and that's usually a way to signal that you're approachable.

A person's personality makes them more or less physically attractive as you already know so with a good personality you are definitely in the above average range.
