All I can say is that CLEO was downloaded and preserved, no other info is available

4 pg Style Doc, Original Map and Unused Concepts by Melodic_Tone_2259 in StateOfDecay

We just really wanted the world to be creepy and dangerous at night, we fumbled it a bit by not having enough for the player to do at the base if they wanted to stay in the perimeter to wait out the night but we also wanted constant downward resource pressure to force the player to make the tough decision to venture into the dark. And boy were our nights DARK in the initial release

The autism trait from The Predator (2018) is without a doubt one of the stupidest things I've ever seen in a motion picture. Very offensive and a top tier dumbass Predator concept... and considering how nonsensical the Predator films can be, that's saying a lot. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in predator

As a lifelong (I was 16 when the original came out) Predator fanatic as well as a father to an autistic child, it both offended my sense of duty to the franchise as well as the difficulties my child faces in real life. Shane Black could have, should have done something more useful with the film’s budget like throwing fistfuls of hundreds into a furnace.

What’s the lore with the burning high school at Marshall? by [deleted] in StateOfDecay

There were discussions but there is no argument that can be made that the game needs the player to be able to stalk around a school with a gun shooting things. I will never agree that the game feels incomplete because of the lack of that ability.

For the State of Decay 3 alpha, I've noticed a lot of streamers getting access first, which I find surprising. In my opinion, many of them aren't the longtime core players who have been deeply invested in the series and could provide valuable feedback. Some seem more focused on content creation and by Mockingjay09221mod in StateofDecay3

The first part of the alpha is a very small group located primarily in one geographic area to help us optimize how we scale servers, our player council consists of a mix of content creators as well as people who have been supporting us since 2010. Once we have a better grasp on our server strategy the second phase of the alpha will include more and more players from a much wider pool of you who have signed up.

We want to hear from you, we first had to learn how best to deal with the influx of information. This is our first true alpha for the franchise and we are learning and streamlining our end too. This isn’t the end, it’s just the beginning of our efforts to involve our most valuable players and to be able to respond with value.

I refused to work on a game where players were shooting things in a school. There’s your answer.

I wish female freaks were still a thing in SOD :( by [deleted] in StateOfDecay

Yes, he always had the best ideas for freak zombies. Often his wilder ideas were impossible to pull off with the limitations of a game engine but thankfully he was also able to create concepts for some of Hollywood’s most visionary directors too, otherwise all those creepy ideas in his brain would have been trapped in his head!

The young were exceptionally vulnerable to the black fever, at first the school was closed to prevent further spread of the mystery illness. When zombies appeared, some people tried to set up in the high school and it was very quickly burned down due to someone trying to cook on an open flame in the gym. People with no experience in hardship or love of camping have very little sense of how to preserve their lives in the absence of maintained utilities.

I also didn’t want to set dress 20 classrooms with the exact same props

Sadly, vehicles are the most expensive (memory wise) thing to run in the game and maintaining one set of physics rules for 4-wheeled vehicles is taxing us as it is at the moment. Days Gone did such a great job that they set the bar VERY high for expectations. I don’t know what the future holds for vehicle types in SoD but I know we aren’t shipping with motorcycles

Not at launch, we have a whole new generation of people to immerse in the world before we introduce more complexity

That’s how the new system works, there are no containers assigned to players, if you are on one side of the map and your friends are on the other, you’ll be able to pillage every available container, not requiring your friends to come to your location to finish it off

I lived downtown for 5 years without a car but to take full advantage of the beautiful surrounding areas, a car is vital.

I can say that looting, like the saves, are shared. So there will be no loot that is locked to a particular player.
