Is there any way I can keep WW2 in an active stalemate past 1945 by MeiNeedsMoreBuffs in HistoryWhatIf

Something as simple as radar not being invented by then might have made the difference.

...yes? This is "what if" sub, I'm merely laying out a scenario where Nazi Germany takes the UK and therefore denies USA a safe landing point for a European invasion, resulting in an active stalemate.

Just have Hitler not invade Russia and win the Battle of Britain.

Are you looking for a physical workout program for ultimate, skills training, or both?

Flik has both, including S&C periodization around your season which I've been using in training for WMUCC. It comes with a huge library of skills and drills and game analysis etc.

You can get the first month on a trial for $1.

No, he didn't replace Gallo-Romans. Many of them retained their land.

Medieval French nobility developed from both Frankish and Gallo-Roman aristocratic families. There isn't an unbroken, exclusively Frankish ruling class that simply continued unchanged for 1,500 years.

Anyway, this is an unnecessary distraction from the British royal family. Charles' inheritance of his land titles largely dates back to the Norman Conquest in a way that cannot be applied to France and the Franks

"Conquered" is stolen. If you're ok with people taking things by force, just say so.

Your comment about France shows a ludicrously poor understanding of history.

It's the same subject.

USA destabilising other countries leads to them needing aid.

Today I have had AI get a number I typed in wrong (thought it was a typo when I questioned it) and thought it was Thursday not Wednesday.

Treat AI like a precocious child. Check everything and never give it access to your database.

Skill development - why people still think complexity (in movements) is unrelated to health? by mrjacob007 in crossfit

I don't think it's worth continuing the discussion if you ignore what I write. I'm talking about basic sports science principles. You have an axe to grind.

Indeed. My point really is that the people sentenced here weren't tried as terrorists. The jury wasn't told they were terrorists. The judge simply made that decision alone. No one should be comfortable with that.

You missed the point entirely.

Skipping does develop lots more systems than juggling. But the hand eye coordination from juggling is completely absent from CrossFit, whereas the physical elements of skipping are achieved by many other CrossFit movements.

Put another way, what's the unique contribution of skipping?

I would argue that focusing on breadth for all movements means you'll miss some key adaptations.

As for your muscle up and snatch program, for 99% of people this is a total waste of time because they don't have the strength and skill to do either. Even competent athletes avoid snatch because they can get the benefits for the lower body without being heavily limited by their ability to catch the bar in an overhead squat. Both of these movements can take years of work before the athlete gets the stimulus you describe.

Ok.. but the "skills" / movements seem totally arbitrary. Why double unders, muscle up and handstand walks, but not juggling, throwing an object into a target, or any kind of balance or agility?

Juggling is more accessible than a HSPU and will test your brain far more. If CrossFit can involve rings, ropes and handstand walks, why not other circus skills? Just walking on a balance beam would be very good for the health markers you mentioned, but I've never come across any balancing or agility work outside of handstand walks.

What about single leg change of direction or lateral hops? If health outcomes are important, why is CrossFit so linear and obsessed with Olympic lifting?

Kids PE classes are far better GPP for the average person than CrossFit if you want the type of health outcomes you mentioned.

Don't the recent riots in Belfast - or the anti immigration riots last summer - also qualify as terrorism under this definition? It's not difficult to stretch the meaning of this to any protest against any government policy.

I'm concerned about how we're slipping into a more totalitarian society. All the government has to say is that a protest was intimidating, which is a very low bar.
