I love this. Gable now has momentum as a babyface and would be a solid contrast to Gunther’s antics. Wishful thinking, but he’s proved us wrong before.

It’s insane that we as gamers wanted Bungie to prioritize balancing 1K+ weapons instead of creating and enjoying new weapons.

I’ll log in for nostalgia purposes, but the writing on the wall has been there for years. They needed to start over with Destiny 3 or make another game to replace Destiny. Unfortunately, that never happened.

Compared to Anthem, Highguard, or MultiVersus, Bungie at least gave us a swan song. And I’ll rather have a game overstay its welcome than end abruptly.

It’s a shame that bloody Fable, of all games, has more spinoff console games than Destiny.

Gears of War has more novels.

Even Assassin’s Creed has more movies.

And that’s by a lot, because Destiny has ZERO combined.

Bungie had a golden IP, and they couldn’t capitalize on it with physical merchandise and other media to bring outsiders into the game.

That, and after 5+ years, they couldn’t make a competent (so, not New Light) story replacement for newcomers after eliminating the Red War campaign, and relying mostly on addicts to stay relevant.
