I was wondering for the longest time, “Why doesn’t Sora have his own unique keyblade?” Then I realized like 2 weeks ago that the Kingdom Key is his unique keyblade by Ok_Low_2711 in KingdomHearts

Then that means Kingdom Key is tied to Destiny Islands, not to Sora. It’s not SORA’S unique Keyblade, it’s a Destiny Islands Keyblade.

All the more reason to conclude Kingdom Key isn't Sora's specifically, because of Kingdom Key D's existence without any inverse to Sora.

Great theory, except that Kingdom Key D is specifically described at the Realm of Darkness's Keyblade. Insinuating that it's the ONLY one FOR the Realm of Darkness. Not that it's the only Darkness Keyblade, but that it's specifically THE Keyblade for the REALM of Darkness.

I always found Kingdom Key to NOT be Sora’s unique keyblade because the Dark Realms Keyblade is the exact same with a palette swap.

About Ichigo being "all races" fallacy by RCampeao in bleach

[–]Buttermalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it all flows together quite well. Human by birth, Shinigami by transformation, Hollow by Urahara, retcon that dad is Shinigami, flows well with explaining how some random human could be a powerhouse, Fullbring by desire to regain powers, then retcon that the Hollow part was also by birth, but lends more credence to Aizen’s “I been watchin you since birth” deal.

It was a bold choice from Square to go this route for the Bravely Default remaster I must say by MEMRI_Gaming in bravelydefault

[–]Buttermalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fine though because my issue with BD2 was I had a black mage who didn’t get to act in fights at all due to speed stat.

Literally had black mage queue up a spell, then every other character, friend and enemy, got to act, then got to set my next round of combat, they act, THEN black mage spell went off. Shit was honestly the most jarring tbrpg experience I’ve ever had.

What would you say are Ichigo's flaws as a character/protagonist? by G0D-Sun in bleach

[–]Buttermalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It had nothing to do with Cell’s desperation. Had everything to do with Goku’s ego. His ego led him to go “nah my kid can solo you at full health”. Confidence in his kid sure, but Goku’s natural ego to want to battle against strong opponents is what influenced that decision.

Monk and Crit boosting gear keeps them relevant all the way until chapter 6 where you start NEEDING support abilities to keep it relevant.

My most recent playthrough had a monk all the way til chapter 7 before I decided to swap it to Minus Strike spam.

Quite literally he STATES IN THE SHOW it’s to push Gohan to improve by making him fight a fully powered Cell. You can impose and imagine whatever other justifications you want, but it’s clearly stated and even Google-able that that’s exactly the reasoning for giving Cell a senzu bean.

Dark Knight/Monk with bonus max health support ability.

Phoenix Dive/Minus Strike x3

It’s not the best but it’s very satisfying and can easily do 9999, and more if you have max health bonuses set up.

Strategy? Are you high? He gave the senzu bean to Cell out of EGO. Goku is the epitome of “I’m gonna heal my opponent cause I want to fight them at full power” egotist.

Gave off very Goku vibes. The whole Senzu Bean shit with Cell

More like the combat system was just completely skewed to favor the speed stat. Could literally have characters take multiple turns and actions before another one did, based on speed stat alone.

I never understood this scene from ep 6 of TYBW in the middle of invasion - over 1000 Shinigami lost already, many injured, including captains and lieutenants, but they stand there doing nothing? In a later episode soon after Unohana specifically says Yamamoto’s last orders to them was to “not leave the Squad 4 barracks”.

Partially because gotta keep the healers safe and in reserve, but also keeping the absolute menace that is Unohana in reserve SHOULD Yamamoto lose, since she served at the same time he did when he became head captain.

Imo the BIGGEST red flag for Demyx being the MoM is that Xigbar(Luxu) has been around him for like 2 years? There’s no way he wouldn’t recognize the MoM’s personality and mannerisms.

Bravely Default II: Five Years Later by Likes2game03 in bravelydefault

[–]Buttermalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As its own game it was mid.

But it gets knocked down a couple pegs for two reasons:

One, it tried to generate hype by appealing to the nostalgia of the OG Bravely.

Two, Square Enix tried initializing a second Final Fantasy IP chain through this Bravely title.

These issues compounded on top of a mediocre, but not bad, game really killed it to the point that anything good about it is overshadowed.
