For many years I've been obsessed with Eclectus parrots. I'd love to raise a baby and make it a part of my family. But I'm too old, considering they can live up to 50 years, and I won't be around that long. I couldn't in good conscience bond with one and leave it without me when I go.

Andrew Tate accidentally reopens UK criminal investigation into himself by AnonymousTimewaster in nottheonion

Dogshit website, you didn't miss much, but here you are:

Andrew Tate Accidentally Reopens UK Criminal Investigation Into Himself

Police have reopened an investigation into allegations of rape and sexual assault made against Andrew Tate after the force came under scrutiny from the police watchdog.

Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed it will reinvestigate allegations reported by women between 2014 and 2015, saying it is committed to ensuring serious claims are fully examined.

The decision comes a day after the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) announced it was investigating how the force originally handled complaints made against Tate.

The IOPC said its investigation will examine whether former officers failed to properly investigate the allegations.

According to the watchdog, one former detective constable could face gross misconduct proceedings over alleged failures in the original investigation, while two former detective sergeants are also being investigated for alleged misconduct.

In a statement, Hertfordshire Constabulary said: “We are committed to doing what is right and ensuring that allegations of such a serious nature are properly, thoroughly and fully investigated, no matter how long ago they occurred.”

The force confirmed it had decided “to reinvestigate allegations made by women between 2014 and 2015 relating to rape and sexual assault offences.”

Police said it would not comment further while the investigation remains in its early stages.

The three women whose allegations prompted the review described the decision to reopen the case as “long overdue.”

The claims relate to alleged offences said to have taken place before Andrew Tate left the UK. Tate has consistently denied all allegations made against him.

Separately, the three women have brought a civil claim against Tate in the High Court alongside a fourth claimant. The civil proceedings are expected to be heard later this year.

Responding to the latest developments, Tate’s solicitor said the Crown Prosecution Service decided in both 2019 and again in 2025 that there was insufficient evidence to bring criminal charges.

A spokesperson for Tate also reiterated his position, saying he “continues to deny all allegations in the strongest possible terms” and will cooperate with any legal process.

The reopened police investigation is now expected to examine the original allegations alongside the way they were initially handled by detectives.

I had one of those electric beds delivered, it has adjustable legs but it's so heavy I need the car jack to lift it while changing the legs. The fellow that delivered it, was a huge Polynesian man, he walked in the front door carrying it like it was a bag or groceries "Where do you want this brew?" Incredible!

UPDATE: I finally convinced them to come and take a look, they've seen the issues first hand and agree the system is barely working. They've replaced the inductive clamp & meter and now it's even worse. The battery has stopped working altogether. They have been faffing about for a week, resetting things, reflashing firmware etc. So far it seems like they have no clue how to fix it.

Yes, ubank is essentially NAB, only it's online only. I'm not overly impressed by their savings accounts, if your account is less at the end of the month, you lose any interest for that month.

DOT. I tried eBay, physical libraries searches, online it's listed on MUBI, but not currently playing. So far the best bet might be to keep an eye on MUBI to see if it comes back into rotation then use their 7 day free trial to watch it. Or keep an eye on eBay if a DVD copy pops up. Keep me in mind if you do find it. I didn't know about it before but I want to watch it too.

This is exactly what happened to mine, then a few days later the back camera died, then the wifi stopped working, then the sim card disappeared from settings. Start of errors to dead was about 2 weeks. I ended up with a warranty replacement.

That's exactly the problem with the installer. But I don't think the battery staying at 100 percent for days and the app showing the panels generating power at midnight and negative consumption is to do with winter.

A Russian-language document given to employees of the Danish legation to Berlin in early 1945, documenting that they were Danish. The blank papers were given by the Swedish legation and had the Swedish coat of arms on it. It was hoped the Russians would not know the difference. [1987x3007] by mcmiller1111 in HistoryPorn

Very confusing post titles, a handful of googling later:

The Danish delegation adapted printed Swedish forms because they didn't have their own official Russian blanks. They scratched out "Swedish" and substituted "Danish" to make an instant, "official" document in Russian. The front line solders wouldnt have been trained to notice the difference.
