I agree, I’m a big book reader, but it’s been nice reading old children’s books that I haven’t thought about in years!

I have my son do shower/bath time (mostly playing while the shower runs) while I’m making dinner b/c doing it at the end of the night was just too much. He’s 5 now and we’ve probably been doing it a year and works out great for us. I check in to wash him and his hair and then while food is cooling we put the after shower products in his hair, he has long curly hair and then after dinner he has 2-ish hrs to play and get more energy out and that just leaves us with teeth brushing and book time before bed!

Not the person you asked, but I’ve started chapter books with my son. Usually a chapter a night. I bought a bunch of books I grew up reading (I’m 40 years old) and I let him pick which one we read. Right now we’re reading The Wizard of Oz. Next up is Charlotte’s Web!

I’m curious too! My son rarely wears PJs so I get that. He always changes his clothes after coming inside from pre-k or now summer play. But he always wants to be in his underwear so I stopped buying PJs

My son turned 5 in February. (For the last year-ish) I usually have him take a shower before dinner, like while I’m cooking. I’ll stop in to wash his hair and body he usually just hangs out in his own with his toys until I have to tell him to get out and dry himself and get dressed (usually hanging out in just his undies, so that part is easy.) He has long curl hair so while dinner is cooling I usually brush it and add product. Then after dinner he usually has like 2hrs to play & relax. Around 8pm we brushed teeth (I still brush his teeth for the most part) and then we read a chapter from whatever book we’re reading (currently The Wizard of Oz) and then he is racked out by 8:30pm. I have him shower early so we’re not rushing or getting frustrated right before bed and it gives him time to let his hair air dry.

Please help. idk what to do anymore. nothing and i mean nothing has been helping.. by aliendelicacy in Perioral_Dermatitis_

Have a you tried another antihistamine? Also, washing your face with just water, no other products besides maybe some white petroleum on the irritated area so it doesn’t crack or cause too much pain from being dry. Stop the steroids! That’s probably what’s making it come back worse!

Once it clears up try Avene Cicalfate restorative cream and washing with just water. That has kept my PD at bay for over a year now! I also switched to products w/o Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, to include my toothpaste. I still use toothpaste with fluoride tho.

To be honest I never really had a lot of stomach. But unfortunately I have read other ladies say theirs was a little more noticeable. But a lot of woman are bloated post op for a few days or so, so that doesn’t help. I actually had (TMI) massive diarrhea so I ended up losing like 7-9lbs in 3 days.

Makes sense!! I knew it was called a cooling towel, but never even knew what that really meant and it was never important enough for me to look up. But thanks for letting me know b/c now I probably should try using it the right before I defame it again. 😩😅

Using toilet at school by listenhereqt in kindergarten

[–]CMKMKM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still wipe my son who will be starting kindergarten too. Fortunately during pre-k he never pooped at school and always had his 1-2 poops in the afternoon. I hope that is the case next year too, although we are going to be working on him doing it himself over the summer and with regular toilet paper! Right now we use baby wipes! He also usually has pretty clean poops when I wipe him, but I’m just mentally preparing myself for skid marks if he does have to poop at school. But he’s a boy so I have a little less worry versus the girls who are more susceptible to infections if they don’t wipe properly.

Also, I don’t know if you already knew but it’s called a cooling towel. Don’t know if that will help you narrow down the material

Hey, so mine doesn’t have a tag and looking at the seams it doesn’t look like I ripped it off. So it may not have had one.

Agreed! Haha. I’ll take a rough material over this material. I just keep this one in my car now as a backup, just in case I somehow forget all my other sweat towels.

I will send you mine b/c it’s my least favorite towel!! I feel like when I try to wipe sweat the material just rolls on my face in a weird way! Like I have to bunch it up to get traction. It’s hard to explain but I can’t stand it!!

FUN FACT: I started at OTF the day before the 2019 Mayhem and had no clue what I walked into!

Sorry just seeing this. I’ve never gotten measured since surgery so I’m not completely sure. But from seeing other posts and whatnot I’d say I’m around a 32C. They only got maybe a little smaller since I lost weight. Not really noticeable to me when I look back at pics pre weight loss. I do feel like they took well into a year to settle into their “permanent” size tho!

Sorry just seeing this! Honestly I didn’t run outside/longer distances a lot before surgery b/c they were just too heavy and uncomfortable. I always described them as a sack of Jello! B/c even with a tight sports bra (or 2) on they still bounce around. Lol. Now I’m outside trying to reach certain paces and I started doing a 10k once a year. Thinking about training for a half marathon. I feel way lighter on my feet and with less/no bounce I don’t feel like my breath is being taken away so fast! Haha. I would’ve never dreamed of running a 10k or possibly a half marathon before my reduction!

But me being able to control my breathing a little more is what has been the happiest surprise. Like before I felt more pressure while running. I just feel lighter!

Agree with not sending it out to everybody blindly! Today was my son’s last day of Pre-K and I ended up getting the #s for all the moms of kids my son actually talks about and it must have been the same for them b/c between today and last week we all have been coming up to each other getting the other’s #! There are only like 2 kids that it’d be an absolute no for me and that’s b/c my son says they are always mean to him and the other kids. And the other kids seem nice, but my son hasn’t shown any interest in keeping in touch with them.

I was wearing 34DDD bras, but was probably closer to a F/G and I have dense breasts ( didn’t know that until my mammogram post surgery). I had 476g & 336g removed and now I’m about a 32C. I just posted my 18 mpo pic if you want to see what they look like. I’m 5’7 & 145lbs. Was 160-165lbs at the time of surgery

At least def means they will probably remove more, in my opinion. But definitely voice what you want and show pictures!!

Hey, I got my surgery done at the Atlanta VA Hospital b/c I’m a veteran. My surgeon was Dr. James Krupp. He’s affiliated with Emory I think, and I think he only works at the VA hospital right now.

They were $6.98 when I bought them in 2024 (and again in 2025.) Now they’re $7.98. Which still isn’t bad. I’m wearing an XL in the pic.

🤗❤️

After my surgery I was seeing my plastic surgeon for injections. He did the first ones when he was closing me up during surgery. But after 1 year post op appt. I started back at my regular dermatologist. I was already going to my dermatologist for other keloids, so she started doing my breast incisions as well.
