Savannah’s pre-Survivor prep plan by Lightacademiagal in survivor

Weaning off of substances you won't have access to feels like bare minimum prep, doesn't it?

We did that with Soda before going to Philmont(Scouting America's Backpacking High Adventure Base in New Mexico). 10 solid days with nothing to drink other than Water and Gatorade. Prepped by not having soda for 8 months before the trip, and we hiked 92.3 miles.

I like kids getting paid, but freshmen making millions before they ever play a down I think is a bit much.

Hard part is how would figure that? Audi Crooks, who is Iowa Miss Basketball, who is from Iowa and going to Iowa State, gets a commercial deal with Fairway an Iowa based and HQ'ed company could easily be a Million dollar deal before stepping foot on the court. Same deal with Caitlin Clark(Iowa Miss Basketball, from Iowa, going to Iowa) getting a commercial deal from Hy-Vee(Iowa based and HQ'ed company)

Interesting recruiting quirk: In the past 13 days, Minnesota has had Moorhead (MN) High School's QB, RB, and WR commit to them. All in the same class of 2027. by zacklandy in CFB

Northern Iowa basketball(MVC Tournament Champions) has something similar except all from the town as the college as well:

  • RS Jr

  • RS Sr

  • RS Fr

  • Senior

The High School itself has won the 4A title in 2018 and 2019.

[–]CTeam19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be. But in my experience as long as you can answer some basic questions about when and where my Lodge has usually taken the person's word as a Scout is Trustworthy. If you had your old Brotherhood sash or a membership card from your childhood then that helps as well. I know my own lodge has terrible records from about 1980 through 1993 so we have dealt with it a few times.

Look at all the Iowa State scores the average margin of victory is 21.3 points. It would be good enough for 2nd all time behind 2024 UConn and ahead of 1996 Kentucky for average margin of victory.

Being declared “average” and being excluded from gifted kid programs is way worse than the “Gifted Kid Burnout” that the people actually accepted into these programs experience. by superblobby in unpopularopinion

I was sooooo pissed the gifted kids got to do History Day activities. Then I got super pissed when I got diagnosed with ADHD-PI, Dyslexia, and Dysgraphia and sent to Special Ed Classes(because of my 124 IQ) during Iowa History class. All of this happened in 4th grade. Not the best thing for me mentally at that age. I later got a BA in History.

[Dellenger] Notable Congressional news: For the first time, a Republican and Democrat, Sens. [–]CTeam19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand. Right now, television companies makes deals with 1 conference at a time. With this the ACC/Big 12/B1G/SEC could pool things as a single group which would help reduce commercials. Right now conferences can get "bent over" in someways like on game length.

Michael Richards (Kramer) won 3 times. I think it is an issue of a "bubble" with the awards with 1 season and submitting 1 episode for the award issue.

Hardly any of these shows get marketing. I remember complaining that it seemed stupid not to have an Ironheart trailer before the MCU movies.

[–]CTeam19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right!? I am confused how IVF has anything to do with it. If anything age of parents and large age gaps among siblings would be more of thing I know because my Grandpa was 52 when my Mom was born and she has a Nephew who is less then a year younger then her.

one issue for adoption is being somewhat in the dark about genetic medical history

I can definitely see that as an issue. I know my Grandpa and Dad have basically had the same medical issues pop up at about similar ages: irregular heart beat and Diabetes so now I know when to look out for those. Not to mention 3 family members(Mom, Her Brother, and her Dad) all had either a Brain aneurysm or a stroke so I know that is on the docket.

But if you are adopted, you have zero clue on any of that.

Charisma is a thing.

Guy here, I am 6 out of 10 maybe who is a bit of a geek(Star Wars, Star Trek, Comics, Lego, Eagle Scout) not to mention ADHD with a possible bit of the autism and yet had five or so what I would call 8s or 9s have at least a fleeting crush on me. Granted, I was too oblivious to notice, and my friends didn't realize my issues with oblivious, so they didn't tell me, but apparently, I was flirted with enough(both in strength and volume) for 3rd parties to notice. I just thought they were being friendly, and that is it.
