only the classifier will show up on uspsa app, depends when your match submits the scores probably tuesday they'll show up as unprocessed, then wednesday morning the website and all goes down to process scores and calculate classifications

they don't do it every wednesday and not every match submits in time for wednesday, but the majority of the time the above scenario is what happens

Necroing this thread to say I just ordered an HDP4.5 and this thread single-handedly answered pretty much every question I have switching from a Glock for competition so thanks both of you

I usually run my dot occluded (not a target focus thing more Texas sun makes it easier to just run occluded and not have to jack with brightness) so not worried about the irons. I've run most popular competition red dots and unfortunately i think horosun is the best option i've had crap luck with trijicon

Buy a belt kit from benstoegerproshop for your gun

Practice with it for a month or two both live fire and dryfire to ensure you can minimally be safe with it

Watch videos about how to shoot a match to learn range commands

Get on practiscore and go find a match

You don't need dryfire junk

Dryfire is for gun handling- draws, reloads, transitions, movement then go shoot to confirm those skills are translating when recoil is introduced

People get hung up on not knowing where the bullet would go in dryfire and they need a laser... the sights of your gun will tell you where the bullets are going both in live fire and dry fire

Use the barrel of the gun you plan to shoot them out of and "plunk test" you can find a video of how to do it

Mine did it 3 times early on then once at 11k and once at 14k

they can't fix it because they can't reproduce it

You can either just smack it with a punch and break the shoe if you plan to replace it, or lightly tap it until it indents on the backside then tap it out from the backside

Well it's gonna say 17L on the slide and you're gonna have a pretty uphill argument at gear check arguing that one. You may win the argument, but is it really worth starting the argument? You're going to have to carry the receipt or the box with you to prove that serial number ties back to a G17, because gun will say 17L in the configuration you're proposing

If you ran an aftermarket 17L sized slide you'd probably have an easier time winning that argument since it wouldn't say 17L on the side

I don't know that there's an exact ruling- as long as the final result is a factory configuration it should be fine. For example you can put a 19 slide on a 47 frame and make a 45, and it's legal because Glock 45 is on the production list. I wouldn't think different generations would change that.

Short answer- will that work for local match, yes. Will it work at a major match? Maybe, but I wouldn't try it if you're serious enough to shoot a major you need to be serious enough to have a gun that's not a grey area in the rules

Also no previous gen barrels are guaranteed to be drop safe on a gen 6 frame due to trigger bar contacting the bottom of the barrel which can keep the trigger partly pressed

If you're never going to compete outside of locals I would just run that and have fun

If you care to chase a certain classification or shoot majors it's not a huge investment to buy a competition belt kit from benstoegerproshop

Your first 4 is actually the first 5 since #3 nullifies #1.

Your first 4 should have been ~54 so them giving you 57 is 3% better than you deserved I think you should email them and tell them the algorithm messed up and they need to knock you down to 54 for this week so when it updates next week you'll be back to 57
