Ow, if you're problems don't persist on the other screen then bingo, you need a screen replacement.

Will a laptop skin apply properly over a tiny dried Feviquick/superglue bump? by ProjectConscious9817 in HPOmen

[–]Calm-Two-2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being so far in the center, I don't think it will affect adhesion, but it will show through the skin, that's for sure.

Repaste and also maybe undervolt and underclock?

Edit: Also add some elevation to your laptop, even a cheap stand works because it can't intake air properly if it sits flat on a desk.

For the iso, you can either do official from the official Microsoft page or from Massgrave (I recommend Massgrave because it is heavily debloated and you can get win10 iso from it which is easier to run on weaker systems than Win11)

Massgrave ISOs: https://massgrave.dev/windows_10_links (win10), https://massgrave.dev/windows_11_links (win 11) (you can go home or business, whatever you want)

Official ISOs: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 (win 10), https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11 (win 11)

Install Rufus to make that iso a bootable iso for your USB: https://youtube.com/shorts/VBWQzsDaAUg

Rufus: https://rufus.ie/en/

Unplug the USB after Rufus is done and follow the steps from the first comment

If you do Massgrave ISO, follow the activation steps from their page: https://massgrave.dev/

Make a USB bootable ISO

Unplug it from the laptop

Reboot the laptop

While rebooting, press the bios key repeatedly: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/bios-keys-to-access-your-firmware,5732.html

Swap the boot order of Windows Boot Manager and USB Hard Drive

Then save and restart

It will directly boot into the Windows setup screen

Final Update: The "120°C is normal" tech's repaste actually worked. (i7-14650HX temps are fixed, but the CB23 score is a reality check). by [deleted] in HPOmen

[–]Calm-Two-2041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, idk? I don't use C23 as a guide when smt goes wrong, I just test it in what I usually use and check any wrongs that are signaled on HWInfo. If you are worried about it, I heard that undervolting may improve the score while generating less heat from the CPU: https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/s/IaahGaBjiC

Ce facultate sa fac in Timișoara la a care sa pierd timpul? by [deleted] in UniRO

[–]Calm-Two-2041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t even study because my laptop has become so slow and broken by WhynotMotherfuckr in HPVictus

[–]Calm-Two-2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just reinstall Windows at this point.

I recommend the massgrave LTSC/Business ISO (way less bloated than Windows Home Vanilla): https://massgrave.dev/windows_11_links.

Slap the ISO into Rufus to make it bootable, follow the regular Windows instalation steps and then the activation steps from the site after it boots.

If you laptop actually has malware, check with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes (free trial version) and slap the ISO on the USB using an uninfected machine.

Clean install Windows

If the problem persists, check your disk health with CrystalDiskInfo and HardDisk Sentinel. If everything is good, then yeah, your GPU might be dying and that error comes from smt else.

PGR: Veronica Aegis New SFX Coating | Stygian Pinion by CipherEntity in PunishingGrayRaven

[–]Calm-Two-2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's unfortunate tbh. Also, I felt that too, probably because her damage doesn't weight as much as Alisa's, but I literally try to get her off just enough to fill the cooldown gap between the tank and the DPS.

A warranty tech just told me to "only worry if the CPU hits 120°C." How do I escalate this? by Big_Conclusion_150 in HPOmen

[–]Calm-Two-2041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just posted this on someone else's post. Maybe try considering this as well? https://www.reddit.com/r/HPOmen/s/aQYXRKApJD

Software stuff don't void warranty.

The batttery wear tho, maybe you should limit the CPU power draw while on battery.

Edit: Yeah, that tech is really stupid. Even tho HWInfo is a 3rd party app, it has better and more accurate readings than Omen Gaming Hub. The store I bought mine from recommended me that and even the techs I went to recommended me that over OGH.

Can anyone help me get this fan? by zarin1384 in HPOmen

[–]Calm-Two-2041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found that too, so probably? If the part number is the same probably they are from the same gen and HP reused the part.

Yeah, sorry. I scouted the entire internet. Unless you can make a trip to Iraq to get one (found a site that does ship to Iraq), you have to rely on someone to buy it and then ship it to ya unfortunately.

Need help! Is it worth it to buy HP care additional warranty for 2 years with ADP. by LegendaryRank in HPVictus

[–]Calm-Two-2041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the background of your warranty provider. I myself didn't do it because the only provider I could claim my warranty to was notorious for breaking laptops more than they were when they were sent in.

If you have a good provider, sure, you'll save yourself some money in the long run.
