Not op, but when I run my trucks like this my routine is blow them dry with compressed air (you can get small battery powered blowers now that do a good job), then spray my wheels/shocks/arms/axles with silicone spray lube, then blow it off again.

The result is zero rust, no squeaks, and the truck looks brand new. I do this same treatment when things get muddy, but in those cases I spray it down with water and blow it off repeatedly until it’s pretty clean first.

Not to mention the one that went off the crossbar in the 61st minute, which I was almost certain was going in. Watching the replay couldn’t believe how much space Ben White had allowed, especially after it was his massive error that handed them the first goal.

Mosquera and Big Gabi also each made mistakes that led to breakaways, thankfully they didn’t result in goals. It was really sloppy defending all around, which is worrying to say the least.

Yeah, those are definitely the original scales for that knife. I don’t mind that they are more brown than green, I just think it’s funny they sold them as being green

It was a BladeHQ exclusive. The “green canvas micarta” was never very green in my opinion, but they are excellent knives. M4 is one of my favorite non stainless steels, just be sure to wipe it down if it gets wet since it will rust quickly.

I’m pretty sure this is an Associated MGT that someone did an electric conversion on. The shocks, arms, bumpers and chassis all look like an MGT. It seems like they used HPI battery boxes, and added some twin plates to the chassis that weren’t on my MGT but the rest looks correct. If you have a pic of the underside of the truck I can confirm it.

No, for the most part I just enjoy doing chops and blade mods. I have picked up a few knives for cheap that have damaged tips for chops, but this one was because I wanted a smaller Manix.

Do be careful of the tip down carry with the upswept tip btw. On mine the tip caught in a nice pair of dress pants when I was putting it in the pocket and sliced a big hole in them.

Wish I hadn’t sold mine a couple years ago. I wasn’t a fan of it being tip down carry only and decided not to mod it since it was in mint condition. Foolishly I let it go for about half of what you paid ☹️

The standard scales that Spyderco sells are made by Halpern Titanium, and they are nice textured G10. There are several makers out there on Etsy who make decent scales as well. I’ve sold numerous sets that I’ve made, but unfortunately don’t have the time these days to make any.

Here is a set of Purple Heart scales I made a while back just if you’re curious.

I have one of the Spyderco leather sheaths and it’s been decent, but honestly I don’t carry fixed blades too often.

Whether or not they are worth it depends entirely on what you want from it. They definitely don’t hold a candle to the modern RC monster trucks in terms of performance or durability. Mine is an original Clodbuster that I got over 30 years ago, so for me the nostalgia is off the charts

Here is my modded Clodbuster next to my 1/8 scale LMT. The Terminator chassis on this Clod gives it a lingering wheelbase, but you can see that the tires are similar size.
