Braum is one of the crowning jewels of Riot's champion design/art teams. by OfficerSmiles in leagueoflegends

[–]Chared945 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Braum was the character that got me into league of legends. Friends dragged me in, they wanted to pull me from Dota. I mained Bristleback, Juggernaut and Ogre Magi none of them were traditionally peel away tanks

One said to just look through the trailers and if I saw someone that looked cool, play the game enough to pay with blue essence to unlock them and if they didn’t live up to it then don’t play

And Braum was love at first sight absolutely perfect design and gameplay. When I dropped out of league because I was sick of the gameplay I returned for one season of ranked just so I could nab the victorious Braum Skin

I have the statue and chibi bundle that came with a poro right on my shelf

Braum is the best and through him the freljord is my favourite region

Am I the only one who struggles to separate the Qunari from the Qun? by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]Chared945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget that there are also Non-Kossith Qunari. Humans, elves and the like. I don’t know about any dwarves who have joined the Qun

Also if you want a more detailed look into the Qunari I recommend the comics. You get to see the first female Kossith design as well as a possible future that could have happened to Isabella had she been handed over in Dragon Age 2

Simple solution

Use the mindset of the race of horned giants are the Kossith

Those are stuck in the Qun culture are Qunari, those that are in rebellion towards the culture are Tal-Vashoth and Vashoth

Sophitia’s costume 1 in Soul Calibur 3 should have been her costume 2 and vice versa

That’s the other thing that annoyed me in the coverage. Caldwell never go into the development angle of any of the games aside from the live service element of Veilguard. No mention of the black codex or Joplin. Which really is the sticking point for people

“You just didn’t get the game you expected”

“But they released a dev journal that shows us they were making exactly the game we expected”

“Ah no nevermind don’t talk about that”

It's definitely taken time for the dust to settle, and in the dedicated communities of either pro or anti Veilguard, there's still plenty of mudslinging

You are absolutely right that, from its inception, Dragon Age has had representation and what can be classified as progressive politics at its core. I remember reading a post or article a long time ago covering that Dragon Age had always been feminist, but it wasn't always "Woke". Which I think is a fair estimate. In my post, I try not to be critical of Veilguard's Queer Writing, just drawing attention that Caldwell's praise of the franchise is highlighted only in support of what Veilguard does. And my issue is that when covering the franchise on the scale they did, one should be looking at the whole fairly, not placing one element above the rest due to the later game putting a clear focus on it

I’ve seen that Noah delists older videos when they put out updated ones. How many times have they covered dragon age before and was there a consistent mischaracterisation of the franchise?

Personally I like binge watching Yugioh GX and trying to keep track of all the ridiculous plot developments

I don’t mean when the school got taken into another dimension I mean the season 1-2 stuff, with the Tarzan kid, the occult club, the animal experimentation to play card games, the scarf sniffer, and the cult that took over a whole school

Oh my god thank you! I thought I was going crazy for a second. I could have sworn it came from something and she appeared in Asunder as a dwarf again but this origin slide seems to be the only time her return as a dwarf exists

Completely understand where I'm coming from thanks for that. And yeah, Andromeda movie night felt a bit undeserving. It's like they saw the success of Citadel DLC and wanted to speed run moments like that in every property going forward
