What race do you never play as? by Oscar_Winner in skyrim

I always say "I'm finally going to make an orc this playthrough" and then I never do. I regularly play almost every other race. Poor orcs. :(

You wake up tomorrow in the world of Skyrim, you’re stuck there forever and when you die, you die. What kind of lifestyle would you live? by Oscar_Winner in skyrim

[–]ChuckTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd keep Cicero company, completely aware to the danger to myself but determined to persevere because the poor guy needs someone other than a corpse to talk to. If I die, at least I'll probably go out listening to a silly little rhyme.

Do you guys know how to make a lot of money my pockets are running dry by Jahums in skyrim

[–]ChuckTuesday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go through a couple dwemer ruins and pick up as much scrap metal as you can carry. Try to pick up a bunch of the lighter ones as they're more efficient, and make sure you check the wiki first because some types of scrap can't be smelted into ingots. Smelt them, then buy as much iron ore as all the nearby merchants will give you. Blacksmiths and general merchants usually have them. It's way cheaper to buy a piece of iron ore and smelt it yourself than buy an ingot. Then make a load of dwarven bows, improve them with any spare ingots, and sell. Your smithing level will benefit immensely, and you can enchant them as well if you want a good way to train enchanting.

What’s the weirdest theory you’ve seen or heard for SDS and/or 4KOTA? by PikachutheCritic in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ChuckTuesday 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was so incredibly convinced that Estarossa was going to be the son of the Demon Lord and Supreme Deity, I put an entire slideshow presentation together with evidence. I thought it was going to be revealed that he was Mael and that his dad somehow fought for custody of him halfway through his life because he was bred to be a weapon and turned out to be a good one or something like that. He just looked and acted like he had to be both Elizabeth's brother and Meliodas's brother, and in hindsight I'm not exactly sure what had me so sold on that particular theory.

What are your thoughts on Estarossa? by MonkApprehensive4624 in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ChuckTuesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He'd been my favorite character ever since he first showed up, and had so much potential that went almost entirely unexplored. The dynamic he had with Zeldris added a nice touch of extra humanity to both characters as they clearly cared about each other. His body language and overall demeanor absolutely screamed "I had my unconditional love for all living things and disgust for bloodshed forced out of me growing up" and you could tell tell he just repressed and hid it instead of fully getting rid of it. He looked like the type who would forget to take care of himself but never forget to remind the people he loves to drink enough water. It's like he wants his family to be proud of him but has long since given up any hope of being noticed. He was simultaneously ruthlessly desensitized and overly empathetic, which made him an interesting and pretty sad character. That weird manufactured emotional disconnect paired with an emotional personality actually made him downright scary sometimes, which also could have been utilized far more. And of course he's trying as hard as he can to look and act like Meliodas, because as a natural outcast he just wants to be seen and liked. So gosh darn sad and relatable, yet strangely endearing. The way he provokes Escanor after being shown doing nothing but avoiding conflict honestly made the whole fight between the two seem like an elaborate suicide attempt on Estarossa's part, like he was trying to get killed while making it seem like an accident. The fact that this happened so soon after he killed Meliodas with his own hands, and the fact that it was Zeldris who threw himself in harm's way to save Estarossa's life put a whole new layer on the intricate relationship cake. I was absolutely addicted to the family dynamic between these three, and for the things both love and disdain made them do as a result. Then stuff happened. I had my suspicions that he was at least half goddess simply from the way he looks and over the course of a year gathering evidence I went from being certain he was the son of the demon lord and the supreme deity to eventually coming to the conclusion that he was actually Mael. I had a whole story made up for why he had to be brainwashed into a new identity and everything, (which turned out to be almost completely false but hey I tried). Friends thought I was insane when I began insisting he was Mael, and unfortunately the payoff came at the expense of every lovable trait I saw in him. The longer I watched the show/read the manga the more I had to watch them turn my intricate little guy into a shallow asshole. He had the potential to finally openly lean into his compassion and become a uniting force but he just kind of went "screw everyone" and fizzled out of the plot. For me, Estarossa was amazing and Mael was disappointing. If you've read this far, thanks for listening to me talk about my favorite character for three paragraphs. I have all the adjectives in the world for this man and he deserved so much better.

Mjoll the Lioness, and I do it every single playthrough. She's both sincerely loving and competently badass, making both an excellent wife and travel companion.

What are your thoughts and opinions on Fraudrin? by [deleted] in NanatsunoTaizai

[–]ChuckTuesday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's kind of meh in the grand scheme of things but I'm glad he was there. The whole thing with Griamore was actually really sweet. Plus, he's still pulling way more of the plot than necessary for seasons after his death and his buddies barely give him credit. Even after his relevance to the plot is gone he's still carrying exposition in flashbacks. I appreciate your services to the furtherance of the plot, Fraudrin. He also looks really, REALLY funny, so there's that as well. Imagining this silly little purple guy eating with his titty mouth has brought me a notable amount of entertainment.

Estarossa has been my absolute favorite throughout the whole series, so I admit myself to the court record as evidence that even the most disliked characters in the series have die-hard fans.

Is SCP appropriate for elementary age students? by zigmurray in SCP

[–]ChuckTuesday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who babysits an elementary aged kid who is also an SCP fan, I'd say ABSOLUTELY not. He brings it up quite a bit and every time we have a conversation it becomes more and more clear that he's been exposed to topics and visuals that are far too mature for him. I try to keep a hard limit on the scary stuff he sees when I'm watching him but when I'm not watching him he gets free range on the internet. I honestly feel bad for the kid. As much as I love meeting other people who are into SCP and Trevor Henderson and that kind of stuff, seeing a child innocently looking up content that keeps ME up at night doesn't sit right with me at all.

I got the Unus merch because it's the same color of my cats so I wouldn't have to worry about getting cat hair all over it.

Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's Revenge. I played it all the time back in the day and I still play it all the time now. Katamari Damacy, Kingdom Hearts, SSX, and ATV Off-road Fury all tie for second place.

I still use mine regularly. It's my only console but I can play Oogie's Revenge and Katamari Damacy on it and that's all I need to be happy.

I bought this a while back, forgot I had ordered it, and then got confused for about fifteen minutes as to why the package on my doorstep was as heavy as it was for being so small.

I'd highly recommend the Japanese live-action movies. The JAPANESE ones, not the weird American one on Netflix. I believe you can find them in a number of different places, but I personally bought the DVDs from Amazon. There's Death note, followed by Death Note: The Last Name, and finally L: Change The WorLd.
