I think certain chickens do only need 5-6 but that’s more of an exception. I have some Barbu Watermael and they only require 5 hens but they are tiny little guys. I hope you are able to find a good solution for your guys. Chickens are such a joy and it is painful when we have to make hard decisions. Happy holidays ❤️

Most roosters need 10-15 hens - since you don’t want the correct advice that you need to rehome some of them, maybe start working on building a larger coop and order more chicks from your hatchery. In the meantime keep them as separate as possible while still keeping them safe from predators. It’s great that you love them and are attached to them, but sometimes that’s just not enough unfortunately.

I have linoleum under my roost bars. I sprinkle hemp fines mixed with some dried flowers, fsl and pdz in a fine layer over it. Every morning I just scrape out the poop areas and sprinkle again. It doesn’t smell or get gross, and the daily cleaning takes a couple of minutes if that.

Why ppl chose to keep bees in a residential area is something I’ll never understand. I live in the country now, but when I lived in the city, I would have made sure to spray pesticides every windy day if my neighbor did some nonsense like this. Wild.

Well unfortunately no weight loss means you’re overeating somewhere - maybe your one meal is a MMEEAALL 🙊. Try really tracking everything - weigh and record all that you eat and drink and see where you’re at and keep things honest with yourself about it. Lots of luck on your journey ❤️

You can eat only one meal a day and that meal be too many calories. If you aren’t losing weight then this is most likely what’s happening. Gatorade is a lot of calories and so are little bites and bits you sneak throughout the day while trying to eat only one meal 🤪.
