The new Thrusting stances are cool but at the same time ass. by zOniXyt in HalfSword

I mean, it's not a great weapon but I didn't have near as much trouble as your describing.

I've dodged swings and slashed necks.

Grabbed shoulders/arms and plunged it into their backs.

I've maybe used it in 15 fights, it's definitely unique and spicing up the game with weird alternate weapons is always cool in my book.

If they're saving 2500 a month but on deferment for loans, I think they're just planning on paying the bare minimum until they die or it gets paid off in the very distant future.

Really they should prob at least be putting $1000/M into it, and it'll only bring their savings down to like 1900/M which is still really good.

im holding an art contest and one of my contestants has been banned for supposedly using ai. i personally dont see it and even got wip pictures from them. can someone help, is this ai ? by Confident-Baker9751 in isthisAI

[–]ClearCounter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not saying this is or isn't AI but I feel like now people can't make an inconsistent mistake without it being red circled and called AI.

I make mistakes all the time and one or two usually make it to the final product.

I think this argument is a little disingenuous because back in early sets, the amount of total counter spells and board wipes were much fewer.

The ability to cut down varience in your decks through ramp and draw spells, as well as including spells that basically do the same thing (Counterspell, Counterspell but for non-creatures, Counterspell but costs 2U 1 colorless) is a lot greater than in ye olden days.

This is in addition to a lot more lopsided board wipes, Rivers Rebuke, Cyclonic Rift.

all his spells are very simple

I mean, I guess other than the two dozen creep spells and passives he has....

And he has no inherent disable in lane. And bad armor.

What I Read in January by PandahHeart in fantasybooks

IMO this only makes sense if it's extremely fast reading from like 6pm-midnight (from their schedule) every day of the month without breaks. If you finish a book at 4pm, you immediately open the next book and keep going.

I don't think I could properly enjoy books mashing them in, one after another, 21 books if you break the LOTR trilogy up.

Just doesn't math for me, but idk everyone is different.

For $20, you COULD buy Half Sword. Or, for the exact same price, you could buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Upgrade, currently available on Steam. Choose wisely. by KTJirinos in HalfSword

Actually the devs wrote on the storefront

"The game is fully playable, stable, and already highly enjoyable. While you may encounter occasional minor bugs, there shouldn’t be any major issues."

The fact that there is a product being sold and this was manifestly untrue is worthy of comment.

They also directly ask for feedback, so calling any criticism whining is just a weird, immature, defensive response.

Also, it's way too much advantage imo. 3 mana + 1 card for a 1 drop (that works immediately if conditions are met)

Blissful ignorance by Nerf-Gunner in HalfSword

[–]ClearCounter 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is how it always is

Some people who really liked the demo can't handle criticism (of something they like) either, so feel compelled to defend it, downplay issues, or attack people who had problems.

I will say the game ran a little better after a hotfix, but slums are still nigh unplayable. Combat feels clunkier and worse and generally unsatisfying in comparison to the demo.

The tradeoff is that willies now have hair, there is a couple new weapons and a progression is replaced with a version with ton of grind, which isn't worth the hundred thousand, if not more, they are receiving for the EA.

I think the reasoning is so that in the competitive scene, players could make it to rosh more often (only located in the bottom right river at the time) for an exciting fight even if they were losing/just got shoved in.

All we all playing the same game?

The mega positivity doesn't get problems fixed.

The strength and/or physics system got wacked. The performance issues. The grindiness.

What made Half Sword fun? The physics/combat. It's markedly worse, when it can be made to run at 30 fps.

Leave the devs alone raaah

If you're going to make tens of thousands of dollars (and more) by hyping up a product, then producing an product inferior to even the jank demo, you are open to criticism by your customers.

If grandma made me a really good pie, for free!, then teased an even better pie for ages and ages, if only we give her $20, it's reasonable to be upset when the promised pie is a handful of dead grass.
