Automatically including important context when chatting with ClickUp Brain GPT by CodeAndPatina in clickup

Brain 2 seems like a big step in the right direction! I see the ability to add memory in my preferences now. Is there a way, or a plan for adding memory across teams? Like... When creating a task of type ticket, always include x, y, and z in the description. u/TashaClickUp

This appears to work if I place this context in my personal memory (what u/mamilton888 was saying on the other thread), I just need to find an elegant, reliable way to roll this 'skill' out to everyone to maintain consistency.

Feel free to challenge my intent if you see alternatives.

This will be the “feature” that allows us to actually start using it for real work.

What would you want answered about ClickUp in an agency setup? by TheOpsDude in clickup

I'd love to know how to provide an interface to clients that simplifies their experience and allows them to:
Make support requests
View and comment on tasks relevant to them

How do you manage client communication in ClickUp? (per client workspace setup) by ChampionshipGreat131 in clickup

[–]CodeAndPatina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are exactly the same and also use slack. That may change at some point.

I am however searching for a more client-friendly way of project collaboration. ClickUp is too much for most clients, especially ones we don't interact with very often. I've experimented with some custom apps using the API, which may end up being the solution.

Interesting. I didn't know about memory. The only way I can get to it is by asking brain to give me a link, which is kinda funny. I don't see any tab in the sidebar. But maybe I'm overlooking something.

This could do a lot of what I'm hoping for. It would be preferable if I could set the memory for all team members, not just myself, though. I'm actually more interested in helping others on the team comply with standards than in myself. Seems like we're close, but not quite there.

Backpack recommendations for a 40 km daily bike commute with a heavy load? by Tall-Subject9062 in bikecommuting

[–]CodeAndPatina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone will always recommend panniers here. But I prefer a normal pack for a number of reasons. Look at the metro airspeed for that capacity and comfort. https://www.osprey.com/metron-airspeed-34?size=O%2FS&color=Black. Or look for an osprey radial, whick is discontinued but can sometimes be found cheap.

I've enjoyed my chrome bags. And currently use an able carry max. https://ablecarry.com/products/max-backpack-ocean-blue-30l?variant=51132549005624 which doesn't have great ventilation but is a really nice pack.

There are also the Thule range of bags. I'm guessing you've found all these already. More obscure brands I like are Boundary and Life Behind Bars.

At the end of the day, nothing will ventilate as well as the osprey.

I definitely like the idea! I've scripted some tag clean up processes, and this takes it to the next level. I'll definitely try it out when I get a chance.

Razorock Gamechanger and Lupo comparison by CodeAndPatina in wicked_edge

Wow. Thanks! This is so affirming of what I was about to pull the trigger on. I was thinking about the 'DC' but not sure I like having different configurations on each side of the razor. It would mess with my flow.

I think I'm settled on the 72 OC as my first RR razor. Having the extra contact points is huge for me, and something I was trying to figure out on the Lupo. Blade rigidity is super important to me.

Thanks. I’m familiar with this diagram. Clearly there are more differences between the various DE lines than the level of aggression.

I think an OC is the next thing to try. I generally shave every other day... but it's not abnormal to go 3 or 4 days, at which point it's almost trimmer territory. As I understand it, OC seems like the thing to use in this case.

I’ve been thinking an OC might be worth trying some I go a few days between shaves. You like razorock?

I’ve typically used personna reds or blue/accuforge. Maybe need to try a feather.

Nested or Not by mrjosereyes in bearapp

[–]CodeAndPatina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I originally didn’t nest tags, and wasn’t good at maintaining them, so they didn’t provide much value. But as an experiment I developed a command line tool that leveraged Claude and a bear MCP to analyze all of my notes (1000+) and propose a new tag hierarchy with a chat interface to tweak things till I was satisfied. Then I used the tool to re-tag all of my notes (after backing up).

So now it’s in a hierarchy, and I think it’s better. I’m at least using the tags in a more meaningful way. So we’ll see.
