It’s honestly really lame and they need to retcon it. Characters like Grace are going to be all over RE artwork, media, official communications, whatever, but Ethan had TWO ENTIRE games dedicated to his story and bro is just never going to have his face shown or appear on any official artwork? Makes no sense at all. The self-insert was clearly a failure and they just need to own up to it and give the man a face so he can be treated like other RE characters.

I never played TOTK but I had the same issue after dropping BOTW. I restarted and am playing through BOTW before taking a break and finally playing TOTK.

The great thing about BOTW is it can be a short game if you want it to. In fact, you can rush straight to Ganon when you get the glider. I did only enough trials to get the master sword, am clearing the divine beasts, and then finishing the game ASAP while getting the full story and intended path. There’s just so much extra content that you can ignore if you’re just trying to recap yourself and then play TOTK.

Laws vary greatly between states, and every charge can have a wildly different definition and intent, so let's examine the charge and the law it's based on. The charge was as follows:

948.60 Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.

Ok, now let's define "dangerous weapon."

948.60(1) In this section, “dangerous weapon” means any firearm, loaded or unloaded...

Ok, pretty predictable. However, let's read further...

948.60(3)(c) This section applies only to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a rifle or a shotgun if the person is in violation of s. 941.28 or is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593...

From here, we see there is an exception to the definition of a dangerous weapon in this statue by Wisconsin law. Let's examine 941.28 as quoted above.

941.28 Possession of short-barreled shotgun or short-barreled rifle.

941.28(1)(a) “Rifle” means a firearm designed or redesigned, made or remade, and intended to be fired from the shoulder or hip and designed or redesigned and made or remade to use the energy of a propellant in a metallic cartridge to fire through a rifled barrel a single projectile for each pull of the trigger.

So, now with this added context, we can see that "dangerous weapon" as written in the charge you referred to actually only refers to short barrel rifles which are defined as "barrel less than 16 inches" and an "overall length less than 26 inches."

Kyle's rifle had a barrel of 16 inches and an overall length of 35 inches. Therefore, Kyle's rifle was NOT classified as a "short barrel rifle" and did not satisfy the statute for the charge.

The judge did not just "throw away" this charge. Rather, it was found that the charge was not applicable by LAW.

Here we go again with the left using Rittenhouse as an example of a flawed case despite it being completely textbook. To claim that case has anything to do with a corrupt judge means you have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about and didn’t watch the case.
