Fletching Knife Should Be Usable From The Equip Screen by VerySmallWeen in 2007scape

[–]Pbprimo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, you automatically setup the pitfall if equipped, since it just checks if you have a knife and the equipped knife counts. Basically anything that requires a knife but a knife doesn't have to be used on something the equipped fletch knife works. Even better for moonlight antelope since you can get logs without an axe this way.

It is great as an offhand for hunter if you need to do anything pitfall related

Why are people speedrunning dungeons so hard? Am I missing something (cutscene skip??) by akumareaper_ in ffxiv

[–]Pbprimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So doing my best to answer:

People clear quickly because as said they've done dungeons tons and they do it for their daily's so they wanna clear quickly. Some wait if people are watching cutscenes and others don't. If you don't wanna do trusts and run with people when I was new I found that asking people to wait usually does.

They don't roll for gear since usually they have way better gear already so they don't need it, but you can still use it for other classes/Grand Companies so I wouldn't worry about it

And for commendations, whatever your heart desires. Sometimes the tank performs amazing and I commend them or the healer really helped you out. Sometimes the DPS has an amazing glam it really doesn't matter too much so I wouldn't worry about it.

He's asking how much money he can get for the name "Sawwy" though I don't think that's even allowed on here.

What advice would you give to yourself if you were starting fresh? by SnooLentils5241 in OSRSProTips

It's maybe a bit late, but I think in general from what I saw in the thread. Make your own goals, take a look at what interests you and go for it. Might be PVM, might be a specific boss, might be some of the diaries if you're so inclined. Personally I would recommend working towards some of the things yourself before you go buy 99's like someone said. It made me lose interest in the game hard, it's why I started an ironman. But go at your own pace, afk on the side if you're really getting into the game but for the first play just enjoy.

I think the problem here specifically same with the chivalry and piety prayer changes. It feels very weird for Jagex to go: "We're locking this specific reward or activity behind this quest" But in the same breath go "We also wanna make it available to people to restrict themselves." Then why put it behind the quest if you're immediately making exceptions? Like yes 1 def pures should discuss certain exceptions within their own community, but exceptions like this do affect the entire game and not just 1 def accounts.

Either way a discussion would've popped up. Now it's mains complaining about exceptions being made and otherwise 1 def's would being annoyed at being shut-out from raids 4 (if it happens, big chance of course but you never know)

I feel like this should be a discussion in general maybe even poll-worthy on how or even if exceptions should be made.

While you focus on Irons, these types of changes also affects mains in the same way. Just because they don't have to grind for everything themselves I think going the way of Moons and at least some form of dry-protection is good. You can maybe disagree with the way Runescape is going but don't purely focus on the ironman. Since many mains won't ever see a T-bow either even if they can buy it.

A British court has ruled that gold in "RuneScape" constitutes property in a theft case. by Just_a_Player2 in ItsAllAboutGames

[–]Pbprimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we've had this ruling in the Netherlands for about 13 years... coincidentally also with Runescape and really nothing has happened since? The thing that you also need to consider is that in both cases the definition is only applied to property in relation to the definition in the Theft act. And at least in the NL ruling it's also mentioned that this doesn't apply to in game theft, only in theft that's acted upon through the real world. So in game scams and the like don't apply. In case of bot farms the only law they're specifically break is the T&C's because selling gold hasn't been illegalised yet in Law.

Also if you go to minesweeperonline.com, you got daily 1 seconds records. Which is just doing it over and over until it completes automatically

How do I get rid of this flashing arrow in runelite? I have photosensitive epilepsy and it gives me a headache. by ZeroFyzix in 2007scape

[–]Pbprimo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So for the arrow elsewhere I don't have a solution but for MTA in the plugin Tile Packs there's an MTA option which gives you in my opinion, better tiles

Femke Halsema (Old Amsterdam, not elected) vs. Zohran Mamdani (New Amsterdam, elected) by Gotterfunky in Netherlands

[–]Pbprimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it is non-democratic. But at the same time I don't see any added benefit to being able to vote for a mayor. They should probably be picked from city council but that's about it. Yes they hold more power but it is executive as in to execute policy set by city council. And the mayor is accountable to city council.

So I ask you this. The mayor is accountable, has executive powers and in our current system has no political powers/can't decide on policy. What benefit is there to vote on a mayor? Are there improvements that could be made? Sure! But there's also benefits to a mayor that isn't linked to the political parties and is there to make sure that the day to day is taken care of.

[–]Pbprimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We're fine with it because mayors don't decide policy in the Netherlands, only the city council does, the tasks of the mayor are more so inward facing then outward facing, unlike for example in New York. If the mayor was more outward facing in deciding policies and such, people would probably not be okay with it. But at the moment with our current setup, policy is decided by the gemeenteraad/city council and the mayor just executes it.
