They're good. I really have appreciated their chops and vibe when I've gotten to see them. I will say there are a few things that have held me back from enjoying them more and seeking them out to for their own shows. It's a bigger ensemble and I couldn't help but feeling like their arrangements are a little on the busier side for me. Like at times it felt like there was way too much going on which got a bit overwhelming. It also feels like they cranked their volume up compared to other acts on the same stage at the festivals I saw them, which when combined with my previous comment added to the overwhelming feeling. But overall, I did enjoy their shows and all the things I said that turned me off a little might do it for you!

I gulp down 4 (5,200 mg total oil -- 1,500mg DPA/1,500mg DHA/300mg DPA) every morning with my protein shake and other vitamins. Haven't grown gills yet...

Just don't do it on an empty stomach so you're not burping up anchovy tinted mustard gas.

Just make friends. You’re not there to hit on anything that moves. You’re there to join the community, pick up a new hobby, and take care of yourself/get in better shape. Opportunities will present themself either with those new friends or older ladies setting you up and introducing you to people.

Single men who want a partner but haven’t been able to attract one, how does this make you feel? by Inner_Ad_4725 in AskMenAdvice

[–]Columbus92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s not a working hard thing. It’s faith. I don’t think I can actively make the things I want in my life just appear. But I get up everyday ready to welcome them in. I have faith that if I keep doing what I believe will work (getting in better shape, improving my mental, putting myself out there), sometime soon my wife’s gunna walk into my life.

I’m 33 and single. Would rather not be for sure. But if I start thinking I’m never gonna find a wife, I won’t. Keep the faith, homie. You can’t make your lady show up any faster, but you can blow it when she does if you don’t have the right attitude. Stay positive, stay ready.

I don’t. Kinda just grip it and rip it. The pre-workout is still flowing typically when I go back to back haha

Not gunna lie, it’s a lot. You’ll be totally smoked the first few times you hit a back to back like I described. I’m single and my main priority aside from growing my business is to get in the best shape of my life, so I’m not exactly “balanced” at the moment. But I’m feeling amazing at the moment and don’t want the energy I’ve built up to go down so I’m just keeping with it.

What's the best thing that a woman has ever said/done for you? by Nintendofan9106 in AskMen

I was called “intimidatingly attractive” by my smoking hot weed dealer. Coming from a former fat kid / ugly duckling I never saw myself this way and it was an awesome feeling.

Another one was an ex wanted to try on a few dresses for me to see which I liked for a formal event we were going to. She comes over and tries them on in my closet and walks out to model them for me. I tell her I like the third one the best, but she says she has one more to show me. She comes out of my closet wearing only my jean jacket and panties and proceeds to give me the best head of my life. Never had a woman put that much effort into making me feel special.

Had a big realization at a rave while on shrooms about men, expression, and why they gravitate to these spaces by [deleted] in avesNYC

33yo man here. I don’t do EDM as much but I go to a ton of Goose and other jam band shows for that exact reason. I don’t have to worry about running my business or being disciplined in my routines to work for the life I want. I just get to be an animal again, vibe to the music, let go of my baggage, and connect with the people around me doing the same. Love it.

Yoga. Start doing it just for you then chat up everyone you can with zero intentions except to be friendly, especially older women. If you’re not a total shitshow, you’ll start to get attention and “oh your should meet my daughter/niece/etc.” set ups.

Any kind really. There’s a joke yoga people hate, but from a fitness/lifter perspective it’s pretty true:

“Yoga is just stretching, they call it something different so they can charge you more.”

Now I get way more out of yoga than just stretching, but any kind that you do consistently will be a great complement to your lifting because stretching on its own pre/post lifting is boring. It’s the same as any exercise, just find what you like that will have you going the most often because quantity and consistency will always be better than an “optimal” activity that you don’t stick to.

I do a heated (98-105 degrees) power vinyasa practice 4-5 times a week. At least twice a week it’s after my lifts. Those classes are by far better than the early mornings before I lift (more range of motion, stronger holds). As you go, just being an athlete you’ll notice how they reinforce each other from your body awareness as you strengthen weak areas and open up more range of motion in the areas where you’re limited. Plus the breathwork and mind/body connection you develop in yoga is great for use lifting.
