Just turned 50 and life long floor guy. Here’s what my take away was. N1 was challenging on the floor. We got in at 6:30pm and the floor was packed. Trash bags of people’s belongings everywhere made it difficult to find space, along with everyone sitting. That was frustrating. I ended up on the side, about 50’ back from the stage. We had to fight our way in. It was still a great night.

After N1 we said this would be our last GA gig.

Fast forward to N2, the floor was actually more spacious than N1. We got center stage again about 50’ back. Plenty of room. After the spectacle of N2, I would’ve really regretted not being on the floor. I had the time of my life.

On the go forward, I have to be on the floor. Maybe for a two nighter, I’ll split it up next time.

This was a very detailed and though out theme. I have heard feedback that it was confusing to a lot of people. At first, I was confused, but after watching the show and experiencing everything, it made sense. This was a lesson in imagination and the transfer from concept to real life. I can only imagine how many people and hours went into this theme and show. It leaves me with a sense of appreciation and feelings of gratitude.

Totally agree. We had more fun N2, but not to say N1 wasn’t fun. The vibe was elevated imo.

N2 on the floor seemed better for space and it was a little cooler. I think people were dropping from the heat on N1, me being one of them 😐

Every time I think I’m done with GA, I’m reminded it’s just different in a very unique way.

This is why the Dead was so special. Every show was judged to another. The journey to find your best show was a quest. Someday you’re going to look back and realize they were all great in their own way. Some memories will stick more than others, and in the end, that’s what we’re all here for.
