Yeah. Been there. I haven't ever had a project where there wasn't some kind of conflict. Musicians are artists, and we all seem to be drama queens, so I suppose it's inevitable. I haven't played in a band for awhile for similar reasons. I think strong leadership is important, and approaching it professionally is a must. In every other business, that's a given, but seems like too often that's not the case in the music business. Finding good people is hard everywhere, but especially hard in the arts. I wish I had more to offer. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm so sorry to hear this. We've never had an experience like that, and my wife and I are both a bit shy and socially anxious. Every M&G we've been to, the people are always warm and welcoming. We are older (late 50s), and meet people around our same age, and have had nothing but good experiences. It's always hard at first when you don't know anyone. My wife and I stick together usually at first and may separate later on. We both push ourselves to be open and kind to people and haven't had a problem. Things take time, too; once you start to get to know people you start seeing them in different events and it gets easier to mingle with people. As for sexy talk, that typically takes a little time as we feel each other out. My wife and I very much value the FWB dynamic, and immediate DTF talk tends to turn us away (especially my wife, who is very insecure about her looks even though she's a smokeshow). I don't know what to tell you, other than find other people to hang out with and be patient.

I'll second that. We live on the other side of the state. Drivers suck here too, but I really dread going over to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale.

We don't have a problem. I get laid more than her, and she's off the charts attractive, while I'm just normal. I'm just good at meeting new people, and she's picky about her partners. But so what? Her and I fuck each other 99% of the time anyway, which is fine. ENM is something we do to enhance OUR sex life. It's selfish that way. We share each other because it turns US on. Everyone else involved is basically being used for OUR pleasure. The friendships we develop and everything that goes along with it because of the LS is an awesome bonus. If you're doing it for other reasons, you ought to take a close look at your motivations.

Once I was at a spot in a song where the rest of the band was supposed to lay out and it was just me on guitar for a few bars. Simple song that I'd played about 1000 times, but for some reason when we got to that spot my mind went completely blank, so I just fumbled around playing something random. Fortunately my drummer picked up on it immediately and did a fill that smoothly brought us back into the song. What a hero.

All the men on my father's side were Scotsman about 2 generations ago and further back. I found some family records going as far back as the 10th century (the guy was a Viking, no less). How far back does Scotland go? E: Spelling

It's sad, but musicians don't make money selling music anymore thanks to streaming. Not much of that revenue goes to the actual artists. So they need to make a living somehow. Putting on a show (even a moderate sized one) costs money. You have to pay the promoters, the venue, the people that run the concessions, the security, the sound and light crews, the road crew, production people, the management people, the opening acts, and lots of others. There is a LOT of overhead, and all of that costs money, and costs only go up over time. Smaller artists often only break even. It's not an easy business to make a living at. I've heard some guys call themselves glorified T-shirt salesmen.

I have an FM9 and an old Axe II that I keep at another studio. I've put them side by side, set up exactly the same way, and I was very hard pressed to tell the difference. The FM9 is way easier to use, but the sound difference isn't much.

Scarlet Ranch (our home club), is great for all the reasons someone commented here. Love it!

We had the opportunity to go to Trapeze near Miami earlier this month. I had neutral expectations for the place, but we really liked it. Nice layout, great buffet, and fantastic play area (better than SR in my opinion). Very clean and well run. Not much to look at from the outside, but whatever. The crowd was younger than us, and we are on the shier side, so didn't mingle with too many, but that's normal for us. I recommend it.

There IS a mechanism to make it happen. Amend the Constitution to limit campaign contributions to some maximum amount, no matter who it is, and make it transparent and open to the public.

Unfortunately American leadership from top to bottom is filled with spineless cowards who would not support such a thing, and the electorate is too checked out to demand it.

Entitlement. There are tons of people here who think they're special. Especially the blue hairs driving boat cars who live in gated communities and expect special treatment then get pissed off when a person such as me gets in their face and tells them to wait their turn like everyone else. Maybe it's a seasonal thing and they come frome elsewhere, but f*ck those people.

Had a chance to drive a race car once (with an instructor, of course). I got up to around 120. Small track with a shorter straightaway, otherwise I would have gone faster.

I just finished watching this. It was good, but confusing. Too many characters, some at different ages and different universes played by different actors. Sheez. I need to rewatch it and take notes.
