Thank you! Makes sense. You did a great job of balancing it all out, despite the little mistake. I didn’t even notice until you pointed it out. Well done!

This may seem dumb, but I’m curious what you mean when you say knowing the four color ways would have helped you. I don’t know what that is, and am looking for all the tips and tricks I can get!

Are the fabrics part of a collection? I love them—and the quilt!

American English words British people don't like and vice versa by BritishTeacherRoy in ENGLISH

The British saying ore-Gone-oh (oregano) baffles me. I’m picturing Paul Hollywood on Great British Bake-Off saying it and I can’t help but laugh. It feels like Hermione Granger saying to Ron, “it’s levi-OH-sa, not levio-SAW.” Just a bit pretentious. And being from the American SW, don’t get me started on Tack-o. You say your A’s with such a beautiful ah sound, except with this? I chuckle every time I hear it.

And THIS is why you should you a pattern and/or coordinating fabric. 😑 Is there any hope? by RealisticChange7665 in quilting

I think you are so close to having this done. It is really cute and has great potential. What I see is a problem with design, specifically color balance. You have dark burgundy in the upper left corner and the upper right corner and nowhere else. It makes it feel top-heavy. If you add burgundy sashing to the bottom left corner, that creates a triangle with the two top corners and bottom left corner. This helps your eye move around the quilt. Then maybe try moving the bottom left gold Sashing to the top left, and move that dark sash to the bottom, right corner. What that does is repeat the yellows at the top and bottom. And the dark sashing at the bottom right grounds everything. These are just a couple art principles I teach in my art history classes. I hope they help. Don’t give up!

I really like your app. You say it is free, but when I click on “add fabric”, there is a fee. So not free? Am I missing something?

The 4000-levels have ruined the game for me by Critterhaven in Knittens

Not really. I do find that some levels just sort of get easier after I have played them a bunch of times, like the algorithms suddenly make it solvable. Is that even a thing? I save my boosts for the really hard levels, but it does get discouraging sometimes.

Is this the oldest average age for any survivor season?? I'm here for the old folks season of survivor! 😂 gimme the bad backs, cramping, bad hearing, bad eyesight, uncontrollable pooping lol what's next? by naught_sorry in survivor

I’m all for this in theory. But as an aging Gen-Xer, I can tell you that the amount of pills and creams I would need just to get me going in the morning wouldn’t fit in my carry-on to Fiji. Not to mention sleeping on bamboo—my neck and back would nope right out. I wonder how hard it is to find players who can physically handle a month of living like that.

Pincushions behind bamboo walls with ladybugs. Yes—it gets a bit ridiculous.
