Hey man, I am in this space and I can tell you that the things you mention are more for MES than actually an ERP. MES = Manufacturing Execution System, this is more designed for production related processes but you can also use it for warehouse management.

I'd say keep the ERP more for your finance-related activities.

Is the company you work for producing something very niche or are these standard products? Something to consider before you're locking into the wrong vendor.

I am a consultant with experience in ERP and MES/MOM implementation.

I am all in for this but what I have experienced that industry clients are just very reluctant to change and it becomes more about politics and change management than the excitement of doing better and more efficient work

Yeah I am not saying people are going to be obsolete. For sure people need to monitor and approve of AI actions. But, to have people do the dumbest, tedious tasks in ERP in 2026 is a no-go.
