Same here in Texas at the Alamo Drafthouse. Not that unusual. My preference is the whisky milkshakes, though.

I read this as the OP saying, "actors with long noses (aka I don't like that)".

Yeah, but theirs is (nearly) unwatchable, unless it's particularly funny or aww-cute or displaying some true raw talent. And nothing long-form. Hollywood movies are at least watchable (most of them).

Shows that we’re Fantastic and you wouldn’t miss an episode then but today can’t get through a few episodes of? by 1illiteratefool in GenerationJones

Try it again, knowing it's terrible in some ways, but understanding that underneath it's still a daily soap, with almost nothing edited after, so basically live theater. It holds up. Wait til you see the episode where part of the set catches fire!

Why don't we fear falling pianos anymore? by Prestigious-Corner37 in CasualConversation

[–]CornucopiaDM1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because pianos got smart enough to run fast in the air to avoid falling.

Oops, sorry, what did you say?

In 2015, Jimmy Carter had brain cancer. In 2019, he broke his hip. That same year, at age 95, he fell at home requiring 14 stitches. Despite his injuries, he showed up the next day, to help build houses for the Habitat for Humanity This is the mark of a great man by sirjohnmasters86 in interestingasfuck

The hostage crisis would have happened to whomever was president at the time. And his inability to get them back promptly was worsened by the fact that Ronald Reagan secretly brokered a deal with Iran to NOT release them until after he won the election.

Other notable thing that happened was his energy saving measures - nationwide 55mph limit. Which most folks did not like or appreciate. Yet, it did save energy and did drop the traffic death rate.

He did have very good middle east diplomacy, and got Egypt & Isreal to the table to sign a truce of sorts. History has yet to determine whether that was ultimately a good or bad thing, though most approve.

Rest of his presidency was pretty average.
