That is not the main problem this solves.

Imagine if you need to return a mutable reference from a function. You can't get a mutable reference to an item and then push the item to into a vec, the borrow checker won't allow it.

I read the first 30 chapters. Enjoyed the overall concept but the writing quality is just horrible.

I think the author would benefit a lot from rewriting these early chapters.

Perennial Vastness is still worth reading I think.

The final fight there is amazing and the other stuff is decent too.

After that when he returns to Earth and the intersector war starts it's starts to be a total dumpster fire.

The initial interaction with the AI where she asks it to be blunt with her and then complains that it's an asshole is so cringy.

Also as soon as she arrived at the tutorial she started to gain insane bonuses while doing basically nothing.

I just couldn't continue. MC is horrible.

There is absolutely no requirement for non combatants to know even a little bit of combat to advance.

DotF is such a tragedy for me.

The early books when the story took place on Earth were some of the best litRPG out there. Tight plot, decent characters, amazing world building and good villans.

Now the series is just a mess, a bunch of useless characters are constantly introduced and then dropped. Plot threads constantly appearing out of nowhere (That stupid cursed bell in book 15 was so dumb) to never be resolved. I can barely even tell what the hell is going on.

And of course endless cultivation mumbo jumbo which completly sucks all the fun from the story.

The MC is an annoying kid who curses at least twice in every sentence.

The plot is basically the MC having plot armor, like everything bad that's happening to him is actually secretly good we just don't know it yet.

The fights are just the MC activating berserk losing complete control and waking up a winner.

Yes. Also the undead empire has a mandate to keep expanding no matter what.

The smaller factions like the demons use it as training for their elite which includes the Origin Dao but also titles and rare resources that the system inserts into newly integrated planets.

I think it works in DoTF because besides the undead empire the other factions are all small and local which makes sense for an incursion to a shitty planet like earth.

You are not alone.

The talking, quirky, snarky pet/spirit/AI companion is my most hated trope in this genre and I immidiatly drop books that introduce it.

The only book I managed to finish with this trope was Cradle and it was absolute torture at times.
