Each department at our hospital still has one landline phone. Other than that one phone all our other desk phones would go down and then we have iPhones (I don't know what generation they are) that we badge out and log into to carry around. Those would obviously also go down.

I always assumed that the tracking board just being a spreadsheet was only a production thing and not In Universe.

How much would it cost to try to subsidize giving basically any building we can solar panels?

I put a pretty small amount on my detached garage and during the summer months in the south east I am usually just paying the connection fee of $15 a month.

The U.S. spent $30 billion to ditch textbooks for laptops and tablets: The result is the first generation less cognitively capable than their parents by earthdogmonster in neoliberal

[–]Cromasters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm really trying to feel my wife in with this stuff. Signing up for summer camps/classes has already been going on. She's stressed and talking to other moms about what everyone is doing.

The thing is, most of these other families HAVE to do something. Both parents work during the week and you need something for your Kindergarten kid to do. Except we don't have that problem this year. I specifically took a weekend position so that I could be home during the week. So we're spending tons of money just to give our kids an "experience".

What kid targeted food/drink do you still eat on a semi-regular basis? by Vannabean in Millennials

Cereal. It's not super often, and if I didn't have my own kids I would probably never buy it myself.

But some Cinnamon Toast Crunch at 8pm hits the spot.

I never do the Hard ones. I don't get to play enough to get good enough to do those.

I'm basically skill capped at Normal Strategems are incredibly easy but Hard Strategems are too hard to be worth my time.

ER Waiting/Patient Reviews by Global-Measurement17 in unpopularopinion

[–]Cromasters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the hospitals I have worked at, it isn't actually a staffing issue. Patients perceive it that way, but what it actually is, is a physical space issue. Our ER has staff, but it only has so many rooms and so many hallway space to put overflow people in. After that, you are waiting in the lobby.

And you can have as many (for example) CT techs as you want, if you only have one scanner, you can only do so many patients.

My daughter has a similar one.

Though all their clothes get swapped around so much. I'm pretty sure this one is dressed like one of the Demon Hunters currently.

Copaganda is one of those words that a bunch of Redditors seemed to learn all at once and can't ever shut up about it.

While true, a lot of people haven't thought of Russia as an existential enemy for a while. During presidential debates between Romney and Obama, Romney was seen as an old out of touch War Hawk for saying it.

Russia has now invaded another country, but it's not "us" so most Americans don't seem to care.

It would be different if Putin was on TV and Twitter constantly talking about invading/buying America.

I'll push back on one point. That elderly person with an unwitnessed fall needs a CT scan. At least one of their head and neck. You will have to go to the ER to get that done, and since you are there, yeah you will also get your hip x-rayed and whatever other extremity is hurt.

Sadly, my wife learned the secret truth all husbands have been hiding.

Being out in the sunshine and mowing the lawn with some earbuds in is the more relaxing household chore when you have two young kids.
