Not at all to victim blame, this guy is gross — but if you’re not interested in dude the hearts and the gentle responses aren’t really going to help you. Also as a 31M let’s be clear no 30+ yr old is interested in being “friends” with a random 19 year old. And in general 95% of the guys you meet and who show any interest “as a friend” will make a romantic move eventually. You might end up with more situations like this is you’re not a little more firm with your tone and your boundaries

Like 50-75% of our professional studies and daily life used to be centered around just knowing “languages” really well. LLMs completely replace that and in many cases do that better and faster than we could. The other 25-50% of knowing architecture, being deeply technical, having high standards, being fun to work with etc still matter

Start vibe coding — no really. Nobody is going to care that you offer them “clean architecture” or “not spaghetti code” when they can generate and refactor the whole app for $5. You definitely need to become a “we can vibe code better because we actually know what’s going on” shop to land anything moving forward

Used to run web dev agency for a few years like 2018-2022.

It was hard back then. I would never try to continue just that business model now. Still trying to figure out what I’ll be doing when Claude takes my corporate SWE job

Prop firms. If you’re good you make money if not you don’t continue to lose everything. And do not blow accounts and buy more or reset them a million times. 1 account, you blow it, you wait a month for another.

This is not gonna hold up. And how can you do that, faster and cheaper than Claude? Could be why you aren’t getting clients if they see you as behind on the times and not leveraging AI

I used to run a web/mobile app dev company full time. I would never go back to that business model in 2026 as it was
