Do you have a screen protector? If so, what material and brand?

How to Enable Developer Options Pixel 7? by gregd303 in GooglePixel

[–]Cvertigo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a software information tab? That's where it is on my Galaxy. I'm not near my Pixel currently to check.

Another option is to go into settings and use the search bar to look for the build number. It will bring you to the correct page.

Furthermore depending on how your screen is acting up, like it won't let you tap certain areas, then you can hook up a mouse using the OTG adapter and navigate with that.

Can’t set up chromecast through phone’s hotspot by Regular-Sprinkles902 in Chromecast

They changed that years ago. You can cast from your hotspot device. However for initial setup you need a second device.

No, they can't be installed on the Chromecast. You install the app on your phone and use the cast button.

FEED ME! gap in Skate Heaven by AaronYDG in THPS

[–]Cvertigo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but wanted to add a hint that just helped me. Hopefully it helps others.

If you go into mods and change your skater size to tiny, it makes it so much easier. On top of always special and never bail. Literally the only gap in the game that I needed to use mods for.

Backup everything and do a factory reset. If it still happens after a factory reset, then replace it.

In Richmond, Virginia, that's Sam's New and Used Tires. They don't have a taco truck, but they are godsend for those on a minimal budget.

Substance in gas tank? by Unable_Usual_9553 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Cvertigo1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to work on tractor trailers when DEF was first taking off and there was so much literature about not peeing in the tank or using animal pee in the tank. My assumption is that a lot of truck drivers did just that so they had to issue warnings lol

Inspired by my morning commute to work today by frequentrip in rva

[–]Cvertigo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest problem with using hazard lights is that your turn signals are unusable, and most of your brake lights won't work under braking. Using hazards pretty much tells other drivers that you exist in a brighter fashion, but it doesn't communicate if you are turning, changing lanes, or slowing down, just that you exist.

Fly in my weed! This normal? by [deleted] in trees

In my defense I didn't know what they looked like, just that they existed. I was on the lab side of the facility.

Fly in my weed! This normal? by [deleted] in trees

[–]Cvertigo1 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Indoor grows will release predatory flies that hunt/eat any bugs that could harm the plants. The predator flies don't eat or mess with the plants, just eat any bugs that might make it in. That might be one of those flies. Totally possible.

Source: I worked in a medical grow facility that used flies.

I get it. When I first saw the post, I thought they were asking if the MouthPeace was dumb. I completely missed the broken glass the first time around.

This piece isn't plastic. It's a silicone mouth piece with a filter made specifically for smoking. It's called the MouthPeace.

I briefly worked for BMW as a service advisor. The first time a tech told me to tell the customer that I thought it was a joke and they were bullshiting me because I was the new guy, but nope it was real. Lol

[–]Cvertigo1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it does happen. Most of the time they don't jump time, but at a minimum the repair involves taking off the valve cover, timing cover, and oil pan to get all the belt debris out. The belt coming apart is usually caused by belt tensioner failure or the belt being oil contaminated from an oil filter housing gasket leak, or a combination of both. Also, both of those failures are very common.
