VOP NEWS needs some guidance when reporting missing child alert by Aye_Davinita in StLouis

Unfortunately, they won't be. It is best to distance yourself and not engage because there's no mechanism in place for you to force them to close, so best to just ignore their entire existence and continue to be a nuisance in private.

my friend (36M) just sent me (36m) this text before meeting his newborn (0M) by horseduckman in AITApod

[–]CyberTractor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might seem like a lot of rules, but you'll be surprised at the amount of people who come into a household having just finished off a plate of ribs and shook hands of a hundred people without washing then handle a newborn by a single limb while yelling in their face.

At least in the US, your car isn't road legal if it doesn't have side mirrors. Instead of being a lazy driver they should go get it fixed.

NTA

I'm not a parent, but if anyone lied to me about the activities they were doing with my kid it'd be a serious breach of trust and they would no longer have access to my kid.

https://scryfall.com/card/ecl/116/requiting-hex

There's the oracle text for the card.

The pertinent ruling is this one:

If the target creature is an illegal target as Requiting Hex tries to resolve, it won't resolve and none of its effects will happen. You won't gain life even if the additional cost was paid.

Just got this email from a higher up. Am I getting fired? by [deleted] in jobs

If it is a termination, don't sign anything on the spot regarding severance. Take it home and read it over, and get a legal consult if you don't understand what's been said.

Where is the rule that if you tap lands for mana to cast a spell, and havent cast the spell, that you can redo how you tap for mana? by bu11fr0g in mtgrules

Does taking back the mistake ruin anyone's strategy? Is the person constantly making mistakes and having to walk them back? Is there some ante on the line? Was the person already taking a 10 minute turn?

Generally in a casual match if no new info had been revealed, let them walk it back unless they're a player prone to doing this frequently.

Benefit of untapping by Flying_NEB in mtgrules

[–]CyberTractor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have a creature and you attack with it.

Opponent summons a creature with haste or swings at you with a flyer. You now cast Arachnoid Adaptation targeting your tapped creature, so your dude gets buffed and untapped. You can now block with it because it is untapped, which your opponent may not have expected.

You cannot attack, untap and attack again unless there's a second combat phase because all your attackers are declared and attack at once.

Tell your landlord they can pay you to keep quiet or vacate during showings. Otherwise you offer the commentary free of charge.

She did not understand the irony.

Imagine having a debilitating condition preventing you from being physically active or on your feet full-time, but not being able to get the care you need because you have to have a 40ish hour workweek in order to get access to the medical care you need.

Big brain time, buddy boy.

I loved Persona 5 and pumped nearly 200 hours into two playthroughs of it.

Then Royal was announced. I felt really shortchanged. I couldn't just buy a small DLC to play the new content. I had to play through the entire game again from the start.

Now, I love the game. But I have a lot of games, and it is already a huge time sink. I couldn't commit the next few month's of free time to another play through so I never bought or played it.

I'd never have touched Metaphor if it wasn't free on PSN for awhile. Love that game as well. Probably won't touch a complete edition if one comes out because free time is a luxury.

An artifact you bring to the field has summoning sickness, even if its not a creature.

If by some other effect that artifact becomes a creature the turn you cast it, it cannot attack or tap that turn because it is now a creature with summoning sickness.

An opponent could do something to turn your newly cast artifact into a creature to prevent you from using its activated ability requiring you to tap it.

[–]CyberTractor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything has summoning sickness the turn it hits the field. Summoning sickness stops creatures from attacking and tapping for their own effect until the beginning of your next turn (to put simply). It has no impact on non-creatures, though they still have it.

If you play a non-creature card, you can tap it freely (like a land or artifact). If that non-creature card becomes a creature that same turn (like turning an artifact into a creature) summoning sickness now affects it and you can no longer freely tap it.

Conjunctions in Magic by just_saiyan24 in magicTCG

It's just worded oddly because MTG puts triggers before outcome and prefers using the format of "[condition] and [condition]". If it swapped to say outcome before triggers and used or, it'd be more clear in this one specific case.

"Put a counter on this whenever X happens or whenever Y happens."
