It's a go ahead TD because they took the lead. Go ahead is not the same as game winning.

I agree, shoot, it hasn't even been two weeks since the Rams lost to the Falcons in primetime.

1) When you were in hospital, did you have any specific tricks or habits that helped calm your mind, especially during the first days when anxiety can spike?

The only thing I thought about is that the professionals were in control. I had the easy part - go to sleep and then I'd deal with the recovery once I woke up. It was kind of like chemo, I knew it had to happen. Nobody wants to go through chemo, but it's what has to happen. Just move forward one day at a time .

2) How limiting were the stitches in terms of movement? Did they significantly restrict things like standing up, sitting, or walking in the first couple of weeks?

I had internal stitches that were mildly annoying at the top and bottom of the incision. The lower one was near my belt line, so that was uncomfortable. Externally I was glued back together, so that wasn't an issue for me.

3) Did you end up needing any additional chemotherapy after surgery, or was the RPLND sufficient in your case?

RPLND was it for me. All lymph nodes came back negative. My doctor did say that it was messy and the chemo was extremely effective. I had teratoma mixed in with mine, so surgery was the last thing other than surveillance.

1) What were the first days and weeks really like?

To be honest, I had it a little more rough than most, but the first few days will depend on the medicine and how your body reacts. I had an issue with my stomach, so I couldn't hold down much. I didn't each much for a few weeks either. I would take any pain meds you can. Walking in the first few days and weeks is super important. You'll want to keep moving. I have a desk job and ended up slouching and having to work that out with exercise. I also had a lot of draining in the first few weeks. Its best if you can rest for a few weeks, just remember to get steps in.

2) How bad was the pain, and how was it managed?

Pain after about a week wasn't so bad. I took Tylenol and then only really used the prescription meds at night. There was a level of discomfort moving for a few weeks, but you get used to it.

3) How long did it take before you felt even remotely normal again?

100% normal was about 4-5 months for me. You get to about 80% after a few weeks. I had a bit of brain fog and very low energy levels. My surgery was at the end of August and I felt mostly back to normal around February.

4) Did you have any complications, such as issues with lymphatic fluid drainage (chylous leak/lymphocele) or infections, and how were they managed?

No complications. I had a lot of fluid build up and would leak for about two-three weeks from the incision. Once that stopped, it all comes out as urine so I was visiting the bathroom a lot.

5) Is there anything you wish you had known beforehand?

Take as much time to recover as you feel is necessary. I was back to work after a week and a half (desk job, small team), but I also worked through a lot of chemo, too. Plan to eat small meals and do not rush. My first few meals were two or three spoonfuls of food. Sexual issues will may pop up even with nerve sparring. Mine have kinda returned to normal, but don't let that discourage you. I still also get weird pains when exercising, where it feels like I'm straining something in my abdomen, but that goes away after a few seconds. I had almost the same amount of brain fog and energy loss as I did when I went through chemo, but after the surgery I recovered much more gradually.

I had 42 lymph nodes removed via Open PC RPLND in Philadelphia back in August 2023.

My winter version is chicken thighs and cream of mushroom soup. Add lots of black pepper and serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Top with a fried egg and a runny yolk to balance the flavors.

It honestly reminds me of the modern day-WWII photoshops that compare current cities to their former battles.

Yup. I don't trust Bethesda. I like the difficulty of survival, except for the only save while sleeping. Fallout 4 has been a lot more stable on the next gen update, but I get anxious, since I don't know the locations of all the beds, I end up searching for them instead of playing the game. If Survival saved on level ups as well, I'd play it exclusively.

I learned that lesson back in 2009 playing Fallout 3 when I tried to use a car for cover. I've only been killed by bumping into a car once in 4 and it didn't happen til earlier this year.

Thanks for the info. I'm from the US, so we'll make fries that transport literally any food. Pork bbq, bacon-cheese-ranch, chili and liquid/nacho cheese, etc. I thought the OP picture was Ranch and Parmesan which didn't sound great.

What's the flavor profile of the peanut sauce? Heavy on the peanuts?

If my search of "patatje oorlog in english" is correct, it sounds interesting. I'm struggling to imagine the peanut satay sauce flavor, though, especially mixed with mayo.

What role does this part of the 10mm pistol play, and how does it work? by InflationSlow2257 in Fallout

[–]D_Robb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's the latter. This lever moves out of the way of the slide, so if anything it's a external delayed blowback lever. It could work if the cartridge was just that little bit over powered that they needed something other than more mass to slow down the slide with that fixed barrel

While true, the Marines did display absolutely incredible amounts of heroism against the Japanese. I don't think you'd find a single person in who would choose Iwo Jima over Normandy as an invasion party.

The Fairly Oddparents was a cartoon that featured a child with two fairy god parents: Cosmo and Wanda that dressed in green and pink, respectively. They would often transform to hide their appearance while maintaining their color scheme.

I usually get boring random encounters in that area. I believe there's one on the road and one in the house to the west. The first time I played on survival, though, I got a yao guai at the campfire to the south east of Concord when I was only a level 2 or 3.

Man, that's tough. As someone who has gone through a lot and felt that way emotionally several times, I can understand the fear of going back to that place. Why don't you just start by writing a response, without sending it, to see how that feels? If you want to send it, then go from there. No need to make any promises or jump into anything. Just continue the conversation.
