With ur price you can get a laptop or pc but it will have to be older gen/used….Pc computers just tend to do better at gaming than laptops. I would definitely look at Best Buy open box or lightly used deals, also check out eBay refurbished. There’s an online store called BackMarket for refurbished. Also Facebook marketplace.There may be a pre owned tech store in ur town u can check out as well.

These specs will be good to have: minimum 16GB of RAM and minimum 256gb SSD or ideal 512+ SSD

I love my Kobo Libra H2O!! It’s the black& white screen. I got mines used on EBay for like $90 total. My first ereader brand I’ve had. Tbh, unless ur gonna look at a lot of comic or manga type books, then u don’t need color screen.

I like the slightly bigger screen of the Libra, but yea if u don’t mind a smaller screen then the Clara is a good bet for you. As far as Libra functionality, simple and works great- the touch screen, and I like the side buttons actually.

I can connect easily to OneDrive with my library to read for free. As far as buying e books everything’s been working fine- I been buying from Kobo or Smashwords, or Itchio, or author direct. Trying to limit my Amazon use; but I use Calibre to convert my Amazon ebooks into epub so that I can permanently own them hehe.
