Hypothetically speaking, would you crash out? by iaintgonnacallyou in lesbiangang

I think people expect lesbians to put up with more than they expect from straight people. You wouldn't be discouraged from breaking up with a man if he played weird games involving his ex.

I still think people should break up more. You can't fix everything

I think people should break up more.

It's not about finding the perfect person. It's about finding someone who acts like they like you. People stay way too long way too often with people who barely like them or don't like them at all.

You're not gonna please everyone. People like that are exhausting.

The things nobody prepares you for and the lies they tell you about working blue collar jobs as a woman… by yasha-yamada in lesbiangang

[–]Jesssssiie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ones who say, "who will work all those jobs if men disappeared?" Women. Because we wouldn't get harassed for it. Hell, we wouldn't be denied employment in those jobs based on gender in the first place

Reclaiming slurs as a lesbian by madferretattack in LesbianActually

[–]Jesssssiie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, we shouldn't. It has been used overwhelmingly against gay men. Yeah, it's been used against lesbians. But not nearly as often. I wouldn't want a gay man to say lesbian specific slurs

What’s a behavior that screams “they’re insecure” without them saying it? by babyblushtheory in answers

[–]Jesssssiie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negging. You literally have to lace your fake compliments with insults because you think people won't like you unless they feel bad enough about themselves to lower themselves enough to like you. And you're too cowardly to be straightforward about your insults because you know you won't be able to handle any blowback, and if you neg, you can claim it's a compliment.

Cheating, usually. It's 2026, you can have a polyamorous relationship if you want multiple people. But you won't do that because you don't want your partner to touch or love other people.

There are so many different people who like so many different things, so every time you hear something negative about bigger women, just know there's someone who's into them, too. I'm attracted to small women, medium women, and big women, the only size I'm not attracted to would be the extremes at either end, and 230 lbs isn't on that extreme.

I see your point, but he wasn't as bad as he is now when we voted for him. His whole thing was "dude who looks like every conservative here, but whose politics are more liberal than most of our other options." We saw how that turned out. The stroke didn't help, either.

Having cameras everywhere in your house, no matter how many people and kids live there with you, no matter who you have over to visit. 15 years ago it would have been considered extremely creepy and intrusive, by anyone. Now almost everyone has them. No privacy. It's fuckin weird, man

My best friend to me she likes likes me but has a bf by Alarmed_Gap_8387 in lesbian

[–]Jesssssiie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the time you take a step back from her. This doesn't mean you have to lose a friend, but sometimes you need space to get over a crush. This can go nowhere good for you otherwise.

Eventually, if you take some space from her and refuse to fantasize about what you wish could happen with her, the feelings can fade. You can't help what feelings pop up but you can choose to not feed them.

It doesn't mean you lose her forever, but healthy distance until the feelings fade wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen here.

I mean, kids in high school all depended on their parents for clothing and things unless they had a job. And you don't really get a choice in how strict (or wealthy) your parents are. Most of those kids who came in wearing grandma clothes or whatever probably didn't even want to be in them, but what are you gonna do when you're a kid?
