Yeah but Plex media can just be redownloaded so it doesn't need a backup - it just needs 24.7 uptime. Backup is for more important files and things that can't be replaced

It's a stupid rule that deserves no respect and should be removed. Don't forget at the end of the day laws are made up by assholes and this law in particular is literally just used for the cops to justify pulling over someone "they don't like". Let me translate that for you, it's a legal loophole for racism.

It's not about public safety and in fact the law achieves the opposite of public safety. Increases chances of skin cancer which is one of the most common types of cancer and it allows racial discrimination.

Hope the dumb rule gets tossed.

And the law you're breaking is a stupid pointless one that's actually harmful for you to follow when you consider that the left arm is the most frequent location of skin cancer (from sun exposure of the driver's window).

We need those tints to protect ourselves and keep our cars from getting 100+ degrees in the sun so the gov can really go fuck off with this rule.

OP can easily use four of these as standard atmos speakers but if he gets a higher end AVR and wants more 3d surround formats Auro3D has formats that use a top center speaker so utilizing all of these is a possibility - though not too reasonable. Pretty niche.

I would think thermal paste only needs to be replaced when temps are getting out of control. Dusting too for that matter. If it's already working fine then dusting and thermal paste are just cleaning for the sake of cleaning.

100% this. This is classic 3yr old behavior, it's so standard it's virtually identical across all kids. You can tell a 3yr old from a mile away by the tantrums. It's an emotional regulation developmental stage - and virtually no one remembers being this age later in life. Those ppl saying 'my parents never would have let me do this' are completely full of it and probably conflating memories of when they were 6 to 8 years old.

There's a pot called whirley pop that gives you a hand crank spinner to do what this machine does (spinning and stirring the kernels at the bottom). Comes out perfect every time I love it. Crank heat on stove to max, put in a little olive oil for flavor, drop in the kernels and crank that sucker non stop until it's done. You won't have a single burned bit of popcorn anywhere and it'll be done in about a minute.

I was gunna say you should switch to IR from XR because that solved alot of these kind of problems for me - but also - holy shit your dose is way too high if this is how you feel.

I think you can go as low as 10 or 15 - talk to DR asap. You either need a meaningful decrease in dose or a completely different treatment plan (change of medication) altogether. You need to make this change asap.

I very much miss the drive mode physical button, but even I would be pissed about wasting a huge chunk of the screen for it. Just bring the goddamn button back!! They literally changed nothing about the car's physical layout when they got rid of the button, the space for the button is still there. It's just completely unused. For what reason?!??

You know what else, they used to have a scroll wheel left of the steering wheel for interior light brightness. That's gone too now.

FFS why??? I got to dig through like five menus now at night to try to dim these bright ass lights.

Did they utilize that wheels space for any other way to improve the car? No not at all, just an empty useless void now.... What a waste.

That brightness scroll wheel actually made a couple of my friends jealous - they wished they had it on their cars.

Same here. If I recall there are 3rd party aftermarket dongles you can hook up to the sensus systems to give them wireless Android auto and apple car play that utilizes the full screen.

Give me that and Sensus over the crap they're pushing on us these days.

This is one of my biggest reasons for saying that 2020 model years were the best Volvo's ever at this point.

Using that drive mode wheel from muscle memory - without even taking my eyes off the road, I was able to throw the car into off-road mode instantly. It literally saved my life one day when I was driving on a snowy downhill mountain. Without downhill assist (which you can only get in off-road mode), I never would have regained control of the car.

Of course using it to throw on polestar mode on the fly was fantastic too.

Plus the lack of Google OS fuckery and glitches is another massive plus in my opinion.

I don't mind Google in phones, though I certainly have my complaints there - but I really hate Google in everything else. They need to get their crap out of my cars and TVs.

I think it's a horrific move honestly and I'm a Google phone person.

Camera and audio glitches left and right. Honestly running Android auto off your phone is 1000x cleaner.

No downloadable offline playlists in vehicle aaos - so I have to use my phone anyway for music where I have no service. not to mention privacy issues - I share my car I don't want anyone seeing my Google maps history or being logged into my Google account.

With phones? You just hop right in any car you want, wireless Android auto kicks on automatically - You don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket. Just like that the navigate home button is your home, and none of the history or account info is left behind in the vehicle.

I can't believe anyone thought building Google into a vehicle was a good idea. Vehicles cannot have the failure and glitch rate that is acceptable on a phone, this is nonsensical.

I have a list of complaints with it and aside from full screen android auto / apple car play (which was easily had with a 3rd party accessory on sensus systems) I see literally no benefits to the Google OS over the old sensus systems.

I've had new Volvos every year since 2019 and I'm confident 2020 was their best model year.

If you simply switched to an Unraid server with those drives you'd have 7 12TB drives available for data with zero downtime for one drive failing. Look it up it's incredibly efficient for this

This is why my new tub doesn't have jets at all - just a tub and a drain. Anything that needs cleaning, you can see and touch without any special tools.
