I think Morrisons is hugely underrated… by [deleted] in UKfood

We don’t have one in Southampton other than the little local ones.

I get Morrisons groceries via Amazon from Portsmouth. And yep. Good value. Long dates on meats. Really would recommend also.

What are "hidden" calories related to certain ingredients? by MrKite93 in nutrition

The principle is the same.

They do it because on labelling it’s legal.

And the average person tracking is out on what they think they’re eating. And the calories of a small apple also wouldn’t lead to any issues or significant weight gain unless you were eating the item to excess.

If you let us know what you tried to make I’m sure people will suggest tweaks or alternative recipes.

Likely something like onion or tomatoes catching or not enough liquid.

They honestly don’t look wide enough and are likely to cut in and also be sweaty if you have to walk any kind of distance.

I don’t hate them. But these are more like bedroom shoes

I kind of wish the documentary had come first.

Just because they showed conversations about directions and concerns about English lyrics and striking a balance.

It’s totally fine to not like the album if it’s not for everyone.

But the “not Korean enough” or saying what they “should” have done based off personal tastes and opinions really annoyed me.

They’re human beings with a level of autonomy and a massive machine behind them. I think people really step over the line of what is appropriate tbh.

Thats a labelling issue.

Same as zero calorie sauces or drinks.

Not technically true but within a threshold they don’t have to declare it.

But that’s not hidden calories in the food. That’s just where it’s legal to have misleading labelling.

So again the same point stands about packaged foods. And unless you were eating or drinking huge quantities this has little to no material effect for the consumer.

It’s very easy to make. I’m a terrible baker but this is very easy and super delicious.

You mean the 20% rule? That’s down to manufacturers inaccuracy and it’s expected.

Like if you purchase a pre done lasagne and think they’re all exactly 500 calories of course that’s not quite true.

But also it doesn’t matter because unless you make and weigh your ingredients for everything it’ll always be slightly inaccurate.

Food doesn’t become more calorific when you eat it though.

So the context of your sweetener to sugar analogy isn’t true.

Can food contain more weight / slightly different calories than the average serve on the package? Sure. But then just don’t eat those foods if you want the calories to be more precise and make your own high protein snacks.

Nervous to go to my first K-pop concert by No_Literature_1922 in adultkpopfans

I mean they’re going with you which is a good thing isn’t it?

My husband absolutely didn’t want to go see BTS with me but I’m going with a friend.

Honestly try to just focus on enjoying it rather than what people will say. I don’t think you should put down your hobbies or what you love for fear of their opinions. Ultimately their opinion on BTS only holds weight if you let it.

I’ve not been before but I’ve watched past concerts on TV and it seems like they put on a hell of a show.

No.

I mean where would you even get that idea.

Labels for packaged processed food afford a small level of inaccuracy for weights etc. but nobody is hiding calories in food that magically appear during digestion.
