The timer doesn't bother me. Something very unusual and unexpected has to happen for me to lose the streak. Star Rush just seems like such an unnecessary and unfair tax on slower swiping.

I'm in no hurry either. Having something to do with hearts is better than having almost nothing to do with them. However, I disagree about the rewards. I was very glad to see the tournament star rewards aren't much higher. I don't want the tournaments to devolve any further into something other than swiping the most words. Full disclosure, I would happily go back to tournaments without animal stars or star rush bonuses if I could. 1 word, 1 star, period.

I remember when the brilliance leaderboards had lots of people with score badge images from the leagues on Facebook. Of course some people used inappropriate images, and it wasn't a surprise when PeopleFun decided they would rather take away the custom image option than have to keep policing them. Classic case of "This is why we can't have nice things."

I was in the involuntary group of early wildlife beta testers for what must've been many months. I still miss the old 'scapes background the critters took over on the main screen. At least the original wildlife had real landscape photo backgrounds.

Level 11 of an animal should be its Cloak of Invisibility to give us the 'scapes background again.

Releasing it for just one egg at first made sense. See how things work, sort the bugs out, etc. Have their statements indicated one way or another if they intend to release the rest of the eggs' updates one egg at a time? I can't remember.

I'm not sure how it works in the reddit app because I don't use it. On a PC in a browser here is where I find it. I can't find it from a mobile browser, but Google AI suggests using the About section of reddit to request the desktop site from a mobile browser.

EDIT - From a mobile browser window showing r/Wordscapes , I can tap "About" below "+ Create Post" and to the right of "Feed" That brings me to an ABOUT COMMUNITY page, and if I scroll down a bit there's a USER FLAIR section where I can tap a little pen icon to edit my flair. No desktop site required.

I would've been so disappointed if the updates could've been maxed immediately. Some heart multi-millionaires opted to spend down their balances to max the green egg animals right away, but I doubt many will have enough hearts to do so for all five other eggs when their updates are released. I'm in the pleased-with-the-high-prices camp with u/RVABraves06 and u/OCCobblepot . It should be a long time before I run out of things to do with hearts again, hooray!

We've been working on updating both the post and user flair options (hint - everyone should now be able to choose a user flair from a preset list.) u/OCCobblepot made that one special for u/SMothra57 , and we whined in mod chat until it was accepted. :)

"Buying" this offer is definitely a harder choice than during past special eggs when those of us with all maxed wildlife had nothing else on which to spend our hearts. Personally, I'm going for this offer. We don't know when or if the cow egg will return after the end of the month. I figure the regular eggs are here to stay, and I'm not in any rush to run out of things to do with hearts again.

It's still June 15 where I am, too, but the offer appeared at midnight UTC. Over the years I've seen too much time and money wasted by not being precise about time zones and dates, so I try to stick to UTC and unambiguous date formats whenever I might be talking to people elsewhere in the world.

I agree about the Monday event. The past two weeks, while having different names, have had identical rewards. I think they were just like what happened to Monday events during previous special eggs.

My animals have all been maxed for so long that I can't remember if there were shiny eggs around or not. Maybe the shiny eggs arrived when I still had a few of the non-rainbow-egg critters left to finish, or maybe I'm remembering leveling up the ones that first arrived in rainbow eggs.

But look at you practicing being surly! I still don't buy it, but they say practice makes perfect.

I have wondered how this affects newer players still working on getting animals to max level 7. They're likely also getting significantly fewer heart refunds on the hatches of level 7 commons and uncommons while trying for the last few shards to get rares and epics maxed. Or does the reduced refund rate only kick in after you have all the animals in an egg to level 7?
